How to set fire to a tank in WoT? What is a breakout? Basic concepts of shooting

One of the main features of the World of Tanks is that there is a fairly large number of different shells, each of which has its own peculiarities, advantages and disadvantages, very close to the realities of the Second World War. In this regard, not everyone knows how to set fire to a tank in WoT, as well as what shells to use to achieve various goals.

What do different projectiles give?

Of course, a large variety of shells makes the game more difficult, but at the same time it opens up a lot of opportunities for players. Thus, those people who know how to set fire to a tank in WoT, as well as what shells to use in different situations, ultimately have a weighty advantage over those who have not yet had time to become familiar with the nuances of combat mechanics. It is for this reason, if you want to achieve really high rates of combat effectiveness, the basics of shooting are the first thing that you should study.

Ordinary and "premium"

Immediately worth noting is the fact that in this game there are only two basic types of charge - it's standard and "premium". The first are bought exclusively for silver, while the latter are bought for gold or a very large amount of silver. Thus, if an ordinary projectile to a top-end gun will have a cost of approximately 255 silver, then a more serious, premium shell has almost 20 times more value - 4,400 silver, however, their efficiency is noticeably higher.

Armor Piercing Shells

This type of shell is the most common, as it has a solid penetration of tanks in the WoT, and also has a decent zabornevym impact, that is, after breaking through the armor, it also causes significant damage. It is worth noting that when firing such shells it is important to observe the correct angle.

Such shells not only reduce the safety factor of the damaged tank, but, among other things, can cause serious damage to various modules.

There are also premium armor-piercing projectiles, but they are rarely used. Such shells have a slightly smaller penetration compared with the standard, but at the same time are very high damage.

High-explosive shells

Ideal for those people who are looking for how to set fire to a tank in the WoT, but in connection with the incredibly low rates of penetration of armor, such shells in the majority of cases are used only by machines like ACS. It should be noted that there is a large number of different tanks, providing for the possibility of using guns with a large enough barrel, designed specifically for such shells. However, one must understand that when using standard armor-piercing projectiles, the penetration of tanks into WoT falls quite strongly.

The advantage of a high-explosive projectile is that it does damage in any case, and concepts such as a ricochet are not known to him at all, because he immediately bursts when hit. However, it should be said that these shells have the smallest damage.

Premium high-explosive shells - one of the most versatile weapons that gave us the game. WoT tanks of the 9th and 10th levels from Britain can use such projectiles, which is one of the main features of them, due to which they have received such wide distribution.

Cumulative

Cumulative projectiles are shells with an extremely high penetration, and at the same time with a huge range of combat. Due to the use of such shells, the tank receives a huge advantage in combat and can freely attack even those tanks that exceed it in level. Among the shortcomings of such shells is worth noting that they can ricochet, and the rate of their penetration is greatly reduced in the event that the projectile hits the screen of an enemy tank. Also, they do not have normalization, that is, shoot only at the right angle.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that you should pay attention to these shells, if you think how to set the tank in WoT from a long distance.

Subcaliber

The main advantage of the sub-caliber projectiles is that they have the largest penetration in the WoT, which means that the average tanks can effectively destroy even the heaviest enemy vehicles. It should be noted that for all types of tanks such shells are gold, while for medium tanks of the 10th level they are standard.

Of course, this type of projectiles, in addition to the advantages there are also certain shortcomings, which are also quite significant. In particular, it is worth noting that they very much lose the penetration rate of armor as the distance to the final target increases, which makes it practically useless to use them at a great distance. Also, normalization when firing such shells is only two degrees, as a result of which the increased armor, which such shells will have to overcome.

Thus, the player can independently choose which projectiles he should use in certain situations.
