The production of paving slabs today has acquired colossal proportions, not only in industrial, but also at home. Not surprisingly, this facing material has gained immense popularity in the design of garden paths, sidewalks, etc. However, before you begin to beautify the territory adjacent to your home, you need to figure out how to put the paving slab correctly.

Often this material is called paving stone. Schemes of its laying there are many, the most popular of them - a Christmas tree, a column and brickwork. This material is so good that it is very easy to pave paths and sidewalks with its help. And the areas on which paving stones of different colors are used look very neat and elegant. So, how correctly to put a sidewalk tile? Let's consider the basic stages of work.

First, you need to familiarize yourself with some tips that will be useful in preparing and laying tiles. When buying pavers, you need to consider the waste that is generated from cutting. Their number depends on the shape of the tile and the way it is laid.

Before laying the paving slab, it is necessary to remove the top layer of soil from the selected area to a depth of at least fifteen centimeters. Also clean the place of debris and plant roots. Next, you should mark out the proposed site with the slope taken into account. In order that rainwater and thawed waters leave better, in some cases it is recommended to arrange drainage.

The next step you should take is soil rolling or compacting. It is produced in any way known to you. Before laying the paving slab, it is necessary to mark the future path and build curbs. To do this, you need to dig a groove, where the curbs are installed . It is necessary to lay out the punched track with geotextile. This is done to ensure that during the operation the paved area is not deformed.

As a basis for paving slabs, you need to make a "pillow" of rubble and sand. It is arranged regardless of which way of laying you choose: on a dry mix or on a solution. The "pillow" is made so: the entire surface of the plot is filled with a layer of rubble of the middle fraction. The layer must be poured with water and carefully tampered. Next, you need to pour a layer of sand, which must also be moistened and leveled. It is worth noting that the specialists offer many ways to properly lay the paving slab at the dacha. Some masters recommend to pour the cement mortar directly onto the gravel bed, bypassing the sand, while others place a reinforcing mesh on the sand layer. Experts also advise to fill the screed not with concrete, but with a solution of tile glue.

Before laying the paving slab, it is worth considering that in the process of work it is necessary to immediately form the path and observe the level of laying of the material. The paving stone should be laid on the ready "pillow", after which it should be tamped with a kyanki or vibroplate. You can put the tile not only in a traditional way, but also in a dry way. It is done this way: a cement-sand mixture must be poured onto the laid pavers and distributed at all seams. Remains should be swept out with a brush, and the tile itself should be carefully poured with water so that the liquid penetrates into all the cracks. Soon the mixture will harden, and your path will delight the eye with accuracy and beauty.
