Historical beach with crystal clear water: Blue Bay (Sevastopol)

The blue bay is one of the most beautiful places in Sevastopol. From the name it becomes clear that this place is famous for its crystal clear blue water. Citizens on weekends are selected from home to spend their holidays on a small beach, which they are given the Blue Bay. Sevastopol, or rather its center, is quite far from these places, which does not prevent vacationers from completely flooding the cozy beach with warm summer days.

Blue Bay (Sevastopol) - a place quite crowded, so many old residents recommend to go here not at the height of the tourist season. Only then you can properly rest and enjoy the beauty of the crystal clear Crimean sea, which is gently washed by the shore.

Now the Blue Bay is constantly being built up, whole blocks are being built for tourists. Not far away, and private traders, who kindly invite visitors to spend the night. Therefore, in this cozy bay in recent times is always so crowded.

History

Despite all the beauty of its landscape, the place is glorified and sad events. The Great Patriotic War did not pass over many picturesque places, among which was the Blue Bay. Sevastopol in 1942, tried to capture the Germans, under their pressure, most civilians and wounded defenders of the city came to the bay with the hope of evacuation. However, they were not lucky. As a result, almost eighty thousand people were killed or taken prisoner.

To honor their memory, on the site of the location of the thirty-fifth battery, a memorial and a museum were built, which any holiday-maker can visit. Many of the visitors leave this memorable place with tears in their eyes.

In addition to the war, this beautiful corner of nature was remembered by people thanks to the filming of the film "Amphibian Man" that was conducted here.

Beach

As already mentioned above, the name of the beach was due to the crystal clearness of its waters. Every visitor can see the turquoise transparent water, which everyone meets the Blue Bay (Sevastopol). Photos of these places always attract the view of the beauty of nature. Immediately I want to be on this beach and plunge into the alluring transparency of sea waters.

On all sides the beach is surrounded by high cliffs, which from the side are more like a beautiful layered cake. All interested persons can be like a cliff, but for this it is best to take with you special shoes and be careful.

In the season here comes a lot of families with tents, which literally attracts to the Blue Bay. Sevastopol is very close to these amazing places, so here you can often see the townspeople.

Because of the small size of the beach, it is not possible to put a tent here. But you can bring the car almost to the top of the beach, in order to leave everything necessary.
On both sides of the beach there are rocks from which you can dive into the water. There are also small indentations in which you can bathe your children and not be afraid that they will hurt or swim to depth.

To get to this wonderful place, you need to take a bus that goes through Sevastopol. The Blue Bay, testimonials testify to this, is always very popular. That is why so many tourists from all over Russia come here.
