Gymnastics in scoliosis

In the 21st century, the problem of scoliosis was greatly complicated. The statistics show that in the cities every second school child suffers from spine diseases by the end of schooling. This is explained by the fact that today's children chronically lack not only physical exertion, but also motor activity in general. Scoliosis is a disease in which the connective and tissue structures of the spine are damaged. What can help in this case? First of all, will help gymnastics in scoliosis. Useful for the spine: physical activities performed in the lying position, swimming. It is important not to cause an overload of the muscles of the back. But it is better that parents try to prevent the curvature of the vertebral column of the child, because to return it to its original position is quite difficult.

What should be the gymnastics for scoliosis? In principle, any exercises without burdens are useful for children. But if the parents have noticed the violation of the posture in the child, then one should know that it is bad for the spine in this case to affect the performance of the lateral slopes, and also the deflections back are not desirable. Due to the fact that today children do not receive sufficient developmental load for the back muscles, it is necessary to think about this problem in advance. You need to start at 5-6 years. It is then necessary to strengthen with the help of a special gymnastics back, and at 14-16 years it will be too late.

Gymnastics in scoliosis consists of a series of simple exercises that will help your child to effectively strengthen the back muscles, improve nutrition in the spine and promote the development of the entire muscle corset.

1. "Holding your back."

The child should be in the position lying on the stomach, hands behind, the head is raised, the legs are straight. Raises the body of the body and keeps the back in tension. After a 10-second rest, repeat 3-4 times. This is one of the basic exercises that involves the treatment of scoliosis. Exercises contribute to the improvement of muscle nutrition, corrects posture. At the same time, it counteracts scoliosis and other diseases of the spine.

2. "Back Rises."

Continues to perform the previous exercise, but to strengthen the effect, hands on the lower back. The child should independently lift a head and a back 8-10 times. Be sure to give him rest and only after that again let him repeat the exercise.

This gymnastics with scoliosis will allow any parent even without special preparation to help the child easily and simply to strengthen the back. The main thing here is not to overdo it, not to give more than 10 approaches for the occupation. You will see for yourself how quickly the child's back muscles will get stronger, and the posture will improve significantly.

3. "Push-ups".

The child assumes the position of lying down, leaning against the bench with both hands, and you must support him, because he is not able to keep his back still good. We must try to make at least 10 push-ups for the approach, with your help it is quite real. If the child is tired, always give him a break.

4. "Squats."

In the standing position, hands on the waist, legs on the width of the shoulders begin to make the usual sit-ups. You can first do 10 sit-ups, but over time, the load should be increased.

Physical education in scoliosis will strengthen your child not only the muscles of the arms and shoulder girdle, but also the back. We usually do not have much time, but we drive children to the playground, to the kindergarten, to the park - there are benches, and it's good if you take the rule of starting any walk with these straightforward exercises.
