Glycerin soap: cooking technology

Glycerin soap is much softer than usual, because one of its main components is an excellent moisturizer - glycerine. It is mostly transparent or translucent, but there are exceptions. Everything depends on the technology of preparation and the materials taken as a basis. This sort of soap differs from all other natural ingredients. Being liquid when pouring it allows you to create unique complex shapes and unique decorative effects.

You can prepare yourself glycerin soap from scratch in the home. The process is feasible, but it will take quite some time. You can learn the technology of soap making without professional master classes. In general, this is a very interesting activity. If you feel inspired to start a creative work and you have a lot of original ideas in your head, then you can safely start the process of creating soap.

You will need a solid baby soap (it has no additives, is the most natural and useful for the skin) or any other (you can use the remains of different bars of soap), glycerin, alcohol, sugar, water, olive or sunflower oil, ready glycerine soap (for use For decorative purposes), several natural essential oils. By the way, you can create a fragrance of soap not only with the help of oils. Some for this use fragrances, which give an even more lasting smell. A matter of taste.

Finely grate the bar of baby soap (or the other one that is available) in the enamel ware, pour it with a glass of boiling water so that it completely covers the shavings. Place the dishes on a steam bath and cook the mixture on a small fire until it dissolves completely. Then add to the solution alcohol (preferably ethyl) in a volume of half the mass of soap. The mixture begins to foam, so it needs to be covered with a lid and, occasionally opening it, stir with a spoon.

From sugar (by weight - a quarter of the soap) and water (10% of the mass of soap), prepare the syrup, pour it into the bulk. Add glycerin to it (15% of the mass of soap). If desired, add a little vegetable oil. Cook a little more until the mixture has a clear shade. You can check the transparency by dropping the mass on the glass (a glass is suitable). If you notice turbidity, you can add a little alcohol or syrup to the solution. This will help to achieve the necessary level of transparency. On top of the soap mass there will be a thick foam, which can be easily removed with a simple strainer. This will be the basis for soap. To change the color of the base, food colors are used, with which it can be given absolutely any color.

Glycerin soap in the ingredients depending on your purpose can have different components. For example, if you want the finished soap to have a peeling effect, you can add ground coffee, oatmeal or coconut chips to it. Often used in the preparation of soaps dry herbs (chamomile, mint, etc.), rose petals. Cinnamon and pine needles can be natural dyes. The base solution can be divided into parts, adding to each different additional components.

To make jewelry, ready-made glycerine soap is used in different colors. You can use just the chips from it, but you can cut flowers, figurines, etc. Prepared jewelry should be placed in molds (these can be children's pasochki, baking dishes or other suitable items for the size).

Directly into the mold, drip some essential oil, then pour hot soap in them and dip additives into them (additional ingredients and ornaments).

Now you need to give the soap time to freeze. Then get out of the molds and leave to dry for about a week or slightly more. Through this time, glycerin soap will become fully usable.
