Generator for electroshepherd with own hands

If the territory allocated for pasture is large, it is difficult to fence it with a whole fence. And sometimes animals come to someone's fields, belonging to other owners. In all cases, an electroshepher comes to the rescue.

This device is a tape or wire that can be easily installed on a fence or moved to another location. The article will deal with how to make the device itself and the generator for the electric shepherd by one's own hands.

How does the device affect animals?

When contacting a similar hedge, a current flows through the animal's body, which leaves the ground. He is not dangerous to life, but the horse, for example, will remember the unpleasant sensations that have been received here and will not come nearer to such a place.

The included device generates and applies voltage pulses coming from the fencing wire.

The generator for the electric shepherd organizes the paddock, which is safe and well controlled. About ropes, chains and similar devices, as well as all the hassle associated with them, you can simply forget.

Set in the store

Generator for electric sheep cattle can be bought in the online store. It happens to be foreign and domestic production. Typically, the kit includes the following components:

  • A unit that supplies a voltage that is powered by a battery or directly through the network;
  • Tape with woven bare wire (it can be of different colors);
  • Pegs for insulators;
  • Insulators themselves, on which the tape is mounted;
  • Wire for connecting the unit and a grounded pin;
  • The pin itself.

Instead of buying

Not everyone wants to give personal money for this device. An alternative is the possibility to make a generator for an electric shepherd yourself. As can be seen from the kit, it is possible to assemble a device to any radio amateurs.

Block is better to buy in the store - it is sold separately. But if there is a pulse generator circuit for an electric shepherd, then it is made at home. Everything else is easily collected from what is at hand.

Useful tools at hand

The device, made independently, will become the most economical option.

As an electrical fence use a thin wire for welding. And in order for the animals to see it, pull on an additional ribbon with rags. You can provide for a wide ribbon at the same time, but you will have to pay for it. True, with the wind it sags, and with the falling of wet snow, the latter settles on it and freezes, so conductivity can be reduced.

But for the construction of insulators, you can come up with a lot of money, for example, a wooden stake with plastic bottles (as self-tapping screws), in which two vertical slots are made and the ribbon is threaded into them. Or you can just wrap a column of tape. Instead of plastic bottles, some use bicycle cameras and other.

Grounding can be realized with a conventional piece of reinforcement or a rod made of iron, just over a meter in length. In the ground, it is hammered by about a meter. For the best work, it is good to water the land in dry weather.

To connect the block, the conductor and the fence, use so-called cords with "crocodiles" for cars. They are cut in two.

If you buy poles, then they will not be cheap. They usually require a lot, since the maximum distance from each other should be ten meters. But it is desirable to install them even more often. At the firms columns are made of plastic. It is extremely difficult to find any good reviews about such devices. They are praised only if the installation is temporary. But for a long-term stationary installation it is better to use wooden ones made independently.

Of course, it will be more difficult to score them. It would hardly be convenient to finish with a sledgehammer. And some get out of the situation by first driving in the corners of metal, and then fastening to them the posts of wood. In addition, you can purchase a manual drill and use it instead of clogging.

In general, if you use the device itself and the generator for the electric shepherd correctly, it will do its job well. However, when the stallion is overly active, even such an electric fence can not stop it. For such individuals it is better to duplicate the fence. Although the case will be troublesome and will cost "a pretty penny," but the horse will already be able to save.

Individual nuances

Ensure that the tape does not touch ground, grass or snow. Otherwise, the battery will be continuously discharged to earth.

The animal is accustomed to the device. After all, if a panic occurs during the first collision, the horse can rush in a rush to the other side and tear the wire there.

In addition, in order to avoid unnecessary trouble, you need to hang out plaques for people warning about the presence of tension.

Generator for electroshepherd

The diagram below can be used to assemble the device. A base is used from the finished transformer, namely: the ignition coils from the machine. It is a device with a low-impedance primary and high-resistance secondary windings.

During pulsation, high-voltage pulses occur. If they act on the candles in the car, then in the processed form the current is fed to the electric fence.

To operate the device, a pulse voltage (rhythmically repeated pulses of audio frequency) is sent to the primary winding. The process is implemented on three 555 timer chips, where infrasound, sound oscillations and a single-vibrator are assembled.

The current to the pulse generator for the electroshepher goes to the primary winding by means of a key. On the secondary winding, the voltage is generated, and from the third timer, pulses of audio frequency are output to the gate of the transistor. Thus, in the primary winding, a pulsating current appears in the pulse generator for the electroshepherd.

The device is controlled by sound pulses at the fourth terminal A3. Running occurs through a logical unit level.

Infrasound generator is assembled on the first timer. The frequency can be set by the variable resistance R1.

From the third output of the first timer, pulses fall on the second output of the second timer, where a single-vibrator is built. Each pulse arriving at the second output of the timer causes the generation of a corresponding pulse (the duration of which can be adjusted with the help of resistance R4).

The pulses of the third output go to the fourth one by means of the resistance R6. It turns out that the second timer sets the duration of high-voltage pulses, which are transferred to the electric fence. In this case, the first timer sets their periodicity.

Through the resistance, the pulse is sent to the gate of the transistor VT1. The primary winding of the transformer is connected to the drain circuit, and alternating voltage pulses are formed on the secondary winding.

Conclusion

Thus, to assemble the generator for an electroshepher with your own hands is the most difficult of all the manufacture of the device. Nevertheless, having basic knowledge, the radio amateur can do it without difficulty.
