"Effezel" - gel (reviews about it are very good) for the treatment of acne . It contains two active ingredients (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide), which have a different but complementary mechanism of action.

Pharmacological properties

Adapalene is a derivative of naphthoic acid, it reduces the formation of micro-medones by normalizing the process of cell differentiation, has an anti-inflammatory effect. Benzoyl peroxide has keratolytic, antimicrobial, exfoliating action. It also has a sebostatic effect (prevents excessive production of sebum accompanying acne).

Medication Effezel (gel) is used in the treatment of acne with papules, comedones, pustules.

The preparation is available in the form of an opaque white or yellowish gel, intended for external application. The gel consists of tubes of polyethylene or plastic, which, in turn, are placed in cardboard bundles along with the instruction. The weight of the tubes can be different. One gram of gel contains active components - adapalene and benzoyl peroxide - in an amount of 0.001 and 0.025 grams, respectively. Secondary ingredients in the formulation are sodium docusate, glycerol, simulgel 600RNA, disodium edetate, propylene glycol, poloxamer, purified water.

Dosing and Administration

Use the medicine only externally. On the affected areas of clean and dry skin with fingertips, apply a thin layer of gel once a day (in the evening), while avoiding getting the substance on the mucous lips and in the eyes. The specialist should establish the duration of therapy with the drug Effezel. The patients' feedback reports that the effect of treatment becomes noticeable in different people after one to four weeks from the beginning of therapy (depending on the initial clinical state). If the use of the gel leads to irritation on the skin, you should reduce the number of applications (for example, apply the remedy several times a day, and every other day) or temporarily stop the treatment (until signs of irritation are eliminated).

Side effects from the drug "Effezel"

So, often patients observe the appearance of burning, dryness, and peeling. In more rare cases, itching occurs. Also, there is a possibility of the development of allergic dermatitis due to the use of the "Effezel". Contraindications
