FSX: setup and installation

To date, FSX is, although not the most modern, but at the same time one of the most popular versions of the flight simulator, but many people who are interested in this game do not know how to configure and install various options in FSX. System requirements

Before installing the game you probably should have realized that the game is quite demanding on the resources of the computer. In this case, the mathematics here is extremely simple - the more you decide to use addons, the more realistic your aircraft model will be, and the less satisfactory your FPS will be. It is because, for you, at least the actual setting of parameters in FSX, your computer must meet the following characteristics:

• Windows XP or higher (it is recommended to use Windows 7, 64-bit).
• Processor Intel Core 2 DUO, which has a frequency of at least 2.8 GHz.
• RAM: 2 GB or higher. That RAM affects the number of frames per second, so if you want to improve something on your computer for this simulator, you should start with this.
• Winchester: any modern drive, the free volume on which is not less than 100 GB. It should be noted that during the selection of the hard drive, special attention should be given to such parameter as the spindle rotation speed, which should be 7200 rpm.
• Video card: it's better to use GeForce cards, because Radeon users can have some problems. GeForce GTX 460 or higher is the most optimal option.

Among other things, you must necessarily have a joystick, because without it it is almost impossible to play. Which one to choose best is your personal choice. Setting up the joystick FSX is often quite simple, because all the devices are accompanied by an instruction.

Installation

Before you can configure the parameters in FSX, you need to install the game correctly and do it as follows:

1. Installation of the simulator itself. After it is installed, it is recommended that you first go into it and go out to initiate the formation of the necessary configuration data.
2. Install the add-on. After the installation and configuration of FSX will be done, you need to put an additional pack. This stage is extremely important, because in this add-on there is a package of various fixes that solve most known problems. Customize

After the parameters have been set to the limit level, exit the simulator to save them to a file, and again go to it to make sure that the settings have already been successfully downloaded. Now you can close the simulator, since fine-tuning FSX provides the introduction of several options manually.

Addons Installation

Of course, setting up the FSX allows you to provide a good realistic flight environment, but in reality it is quite far from reality. It is for this reason that today on the Internet you can find a huge number of a wide variety of add-ons, adding to the game a variety of realistic landscapes, clouds, models of various aircraft, weather conditions and so on. It is worth noting that if you perform a detailed setup of FSX after installing add-ons for the addition of aircraft, you will notice that each switch or lever on the added model practically in all cases works as it does on a real machine. This addon allows you to change the standard grid of the earth's surface, making it much more detailed, having a resolution of up to 19 meters. The European part of the maps becomes more detailed. In particular, road marking, additional textures and more are added. The volume of this add-on is 1.5 GB.

ORBX Australia

Excellent add-on, which makes it possible to ensure the realness of the entire Australian continent, which definitely will be noticed by any user. Note that this addon is made up of four different parts, and therefore the size of the add-on is about 3.5 GB.

Other scenes

To date, on the Internet, you can find a huge number of very diverse scenarios that are suitable for different parts of the world or even individual countries. For example, the Hawaii scenario deserves special attention, and you can find a lot of detailed airports. It's enough just to go to the SIM-market and find there what you liked best.

Real Environment Extreme

This addon can be called the best among all existing in the sphere of clouds. In the people it is abbreviated as REX. FSX setup after this does not become more complicated, since realistic textures make immediately the sensations from the flight more enjoyable.

Addon allows you to add to the game photorealistic clouds, as well as various weather conditions, but more importantly - it makes realistic water, turning the flight into a storm of amazing emotions. It also uses a specialized weather engine, with which you can download real weather at a certain airport, as well as its surroundings. The volume of this add-on in the launch version is 4 GB, and the update to it is about 100 MB.

MyTraffic 2010

After installing this add-on you can see realistic traffic both in the sky and at airports. It should be noted that it practically does not affect the number of frames per second, but at the same time it makes flights more atmospheric. In this addon includes a fairly large number of different models of aircraft, equipped with liveries of real companies.

FsPassengers

With the help of this supplement, you will be able to form your own airline, buy various virtual planes, carry passengers and earn money on this. Completed addition quite qualitatively, and on board the aircraft, if necessary, you can even hire a crew, provide passengers with conditions in flight, and also perform many other interesting activities. The addition significantly increases the interest from the game in FSX in online mode.

FSUIPC

With the FSUIPC set for FSX, the settings do not change much, since the addition is not too large. However, most users use this add-on for the reason that it is mandatory for installing a number of other add-ons. In other words, with FSUIPC installed for FSX, the settings of other add-ons after they are installed become more accessible, since they can be connected to the simulator to exchange the necessary information.

FlightSim Commander 8.5

This utility provides the ability to plan the flight route. Of course, you can do the planning of the route directly with the help of a special scheduler, which is initially present in the simulator, but this addon makes it more convenient for most users. Thus, you can easily navigate the route through various VOR-beacons, as well as see the map of a certain airport.

Initially, plan the route itself in the program, then save it in a separate file of the .pln format, open it directly in the game and start the flight. If you want to ensure even more realism, then in this case you can use real Jeppesen cards, which real pilots prefer to use today. Such cards contain all the information you need, including schemes, marking taxiing and much more.

Ezdok Camera

If you are already tired of constant monotonous camera angles, as well as an uncomfortable view inside the cockpit, then in this case you will need one of the most important additions - this is Ezdok Camera. FSX setup with its installation is complicated by the options of additional add-on, but be sure that after its installation your flights will become much more pleasant, and piloting after that will become an order of magnitude more convenient. After buying the addon, download the update for it first.
