For what reason did the red spots appear on my foot?

There are cases when the patient turns to the dermatologist with complaints that he has red spots on his leg . It should be noted that the sources of their origin can be of a very diverse nature. In order to significantly narrow the diagnostic search for this trouble, let's imagine some of the most probable reasons for its formation.

Why did the red spots appear on my foot?

1. Dermatitis. It is characterized by the usual inflammation of the skin, which occurs under the direct influence of the external environment (mechanical, chemical or physical effects). Among such stimuli there are unconditional (for example, strong alkalis or acids, burn or frostbite) and conditional, which cause inflammation only in those who are hypersensitive.

2. Allergic reactions. This reason relates to conditional dermatitis. If a red spot on the skin of your feet is formed after using a lotion, cream, soap, most likely, it contains an allergen, to which your body is extremely sensitive. In this case, the use of this tool is better to refuse.

3. Eczema. Such a skin disease is an inflammation in the form of an acute or chronic non-salubrious eruption, which is of a neuro-allergic nature. In this case, large red spots on the legs may be accompanied by itching, burning sensation and a tendency to relapse. Eczema may appear due to some external factor (mechanical, chemical, thermal) or internal (kidney, liver, gastrointestinal, nervous, endocrine, etc.) diseases.

4. Mycosis. If you have red spots on your foot, the area of which increases day by day, most likely your body is affected by parasitic fungi. This disease is diagnosed only in the laboratory. If a fungal infection is suspected, an analysis is performed after which treatment is performed. Modern antifungal drugs very effectively and quickly affect parasites. And in the event that the diagnosis is correctly diagnosed by the doctor, then in a few days you will mark a positive result.

5. Hemangioma. If a small child has red spots on his leg, then it can be a benign tumor that consists of independently involutionary endothelial cells. As a rule, such formations appear in the first days of a baby's life. Hemangioma can only be removed promptly.

6. Varicose veins. One of the first signs of this disease is the appearance of red or claret spots on the legs. Thus the person can feel heaviness and pains in the bottom extremities. If such symptoms are observed regularly, it is better to immediately consult a phlebologist. It should be noted: varicose veins are dangerous because, in the absence of treatment or incorrect management, it can easily flow into thrombophlebitis, resulting in the legs completely covered with trophic ulcers.
