Varygata Aspidistra is characterized by the fact that the surface of the leaf is densely covered with wide white bands. Aspidistra Blume has a less large foliage of dark green color, as well as yellow or crimson flowers. Apsidistra Milky Way looks quite unusual, since the entire surface of its leaves is densely covered with white spots. Aspidistra Amanogawa is characterized by the fact that in the center of its leaf there are white dots, and on the edges - wide yellow bands.

Medicinal properties

Aspidistra has a number of unique medicinal qualities and is used in folk medicine. Flowers "friendly family" are used as decoctions in convulsions, stomach upset, kidney stones, muscle pain. They also help to cope with diseases of the stomach and intestines.

Care of it is very simple, since this plant is completely undemanding and can easily tolerate lack of water, poor lighting, temperature changes, drafts. The recommended temperature in summer should be 20-25 degrees. Also in this period it is desirable to take the plant to fresh air. Watering the plant is necessary as the soil dries up, but care should be taken so that excess water immediately drains away. For irrigation it is necessary to use purified water without lime and chlorine.

The plant should be sprayed regularly from the nebulizer using purified water. Also, you need to regularly wipe the leaves with a soft cloth from dust. At home, reproduction of aspidistra is performed by dividing the rhizome. This procedure is carried out in March. For this, the plant is released from the ground and a small part is separated from it with a few leaves and rhizome. To prevent rotting, place the cut sprinkled with chopped charcoal. The process is planted in the soil in a small pot.

The flower very badly tolerates the transplant and grows slowly after this, which is why it should be transplanted only as needed.
