"Flavamed" for children: instruction on the use of the drug

SARS for a long time occupy a leading place among childhood diseases. They affect the upper and lower respiratory organs, causing a painful, reflex, in most cases unproductive (dry or with insufficient amount of sputum to be separated) cough. Such symptoms are often accompanied by a violation of pulmonary ventilation, which negatively affects the child's well-being.

The cough reflex performs a protective function, by which the bronchi and lungs are cleared during the inflammation of the respiratory tract and the mucociliary clearance processes are disrupted. Therefore, it is very important to properly prescribe and conduct antitussive treatment. Therapy in this case should provide an effective recovery of mucociliary clearance (transport of bronchial secretions). Correctly conducted treatment, as a rule, prevents the development of bacterial complications and significantly shortens the duration of the disease.

In the treatment of children's acute respiratory infections, the drug "Flavamed for Children" proved to be very effective. The instruction shows that the composition of this medicine includes ambroxol, due to which it possesses an excellent expectorant, mucolytic, secretory action. Under the influence of ambroxol, sputum is effectively diluted, as the production of liquid secretion by bronchial glands increases. This substance also increases the activity of the cilia of the ciliated apparatus, prevents their gluing, which also contributes to the rapid and complete discharge of sputum from the bronchi.

Flavamed is in the form of syrups and tablets. Syrups are produced with the content of abroxol hydrochloride at 15 mg / 5 ml, as well as 30 mg / 5 ml. They have a pleasant raspberry flavor.
