"Fire", Rasputin: a brief summary. "Fire" Rasputin: a summary of the chapters

In 1985, wrote Valentin Rasputin "Fire." The summary of this story is presented in this article.

The beginning of the fire

Ivan Petrovich, tired, returned home. He has never been so tired, although today he did not struggle, he even managed without a shout, without hassle. Just opened the "edge". Ivan Petrovich finally got home, and suddenly he heard screams: "Warehouses are burning!", "Fire!". The summary of the first chapter ends here.

At first he did not see the fire, but then he noticed that the warehouse buildings were burning. There has never been such a serious fire in the history of the village.

Warehouses were so constructed, and it caught fire exactly in such a place that everything burned without a trace. On the sides there were buildings: industrial and food. The fire went on the roof to the food edge, but the main fire was in the industrial.

Ivan Petrovich helps on the roof

When Ivan Petrovich walked through the courtyard of the warehouses, the groups began to be built up only in two places. One rolled the motorcycles from the counter, another dismantled the roof in order to interrupt the fire. The protagonist climbed to the roof, where Afonya Bronnikov commanded, who placed him on the edge overlooking the courtyard. Ivan Petrovich began to rip off the boards. The guy sent for the crowbar, came back and instead of scrap brought the news that rolled "Ural", a charred motorcycle.

The protagonist looked around, knocking out the last tesin. The children rushed about the yard, screamed and threw figures at the department storehouses. But the authorities were already running up. The chief engineer of the logging enterprise, the site manager, approached. This is described in the third chapter. The whole village fled, but no one was found yet, who could organize it into a single reasonable force that could stop the fire.

Meeting with Boris Timofeyich

The protagonist jumped down and went to the place where he had just seen Boris Timofeich, the chief of the site. He found him in the crowd by shouting, at the food warehouse. He asked to open the doors of the warehouse Valya-storekeeper. This is told in the fifth chapter of Rasputin ("Fire"). The content of the work is presented briefly - we note only the main events. Valya did not agree. Boris Timofeyich then shouted to the Arkhars to break the doors. And they began to break with pleasure. The protagonist suggested that Boris Timofeyich put Misha Khampo in the gate to protect him. The head of the site did so.

Memories of Egorovka

The sixth chapter describes the memories of Egorovka, the old village, which rushed over to Ivan Petrovich. He left his village for a long time only once - during the war. The main hero fought for two years, and another year after the Russians won, held the defense of Germany. He returned home in the autumn of 1946. And my village did not recognize - she seemed to him deprived and unattractive. Here everything remained unchanged and seemed to have stopped forever. Soon he met Alena in a neighboring village. When the collective farm received the new car, it turned out that, apart from him, there was no one to plant for it. And Ivan Petrovich began to work. Soon his mother went into a long and severe illness. The younger brother of the protagonist went to the construction site and went to sleep with a lot of money. Ivan Petrovich decided to stay in Egorovka. When it was flooded, all the residents were taken to the new settlement. Six more were brought here, like his native village. Established here immediately, the timber enterprise, which was named Sosnovka.

Ivan Petrovich entered the food warehouse

The summary is continued. Rasputin describes the fire in chapters in the work, interrupting his memories of the protagonist and his reflections. The seventh chapter tells us about the following. When Ivan Petrovich dropped into the food store, it was already in full swing. Hooted terribly over the cracked ceiling. Near the wall, several ceiling planks were torn off, and the fire was bursting into the opening. Inside the warehouses, Ivan Petrovich never visited, and he was amazed by the abundance: a considerable mountain on the floor was dumplings. The sausages were lying next to each other. The oil was in heavy cubes, and the red fish was in boxes. Ivan Petrovich thought about where all this was going. Dancing with heat and wrapping his quilted jacket, the protagonist threw the sausage circles toward the door. Here, in the courtyard, someone picked them up and carried them somewhere. We pass to the eighth chapter, describing the brief content ("Fire"). Rasputin in it describes how the fire grew stronger.

Relations with Boris Timofeyich

Everything became unbearably hot. It seems that no one put out more - they gave up. Only pulled out what could be taken out. The main character thought that the warehouses can not be saved, but you can defend the store. Suddenly he saw Boris Timofeich. He swore with the Arkharov. He prevented the scuffle.

Ivan Petrovich once talked to the chief of the site. This is told in the ninth chapter of the story "Fire" Rasputin. The summary of this conversation is as follows. Boris Timofeyich started a speech about the plan. And then the main character could not resist: "It would be better if we lived without him!". In his opinion, it would be better to have a different plan - not just cubic meters, but also for souls, that is, it would take into account how many souls are lost at the same time. The chief of the site did not agree with him. However, the protagonist in another way was arranged. In it, as if under daily pressure, the spring was compressed and reached such a degree of elasticity that it became unbearable to withstand. And then Ivan Petrovich began to speak, hating himself and terribly nervous, realizing that all this was in vain.

Ivan Petrovich helps to tolerate oil and flour

The fire continues. A brief summary of the chapters of the work of interest came to the tenth chapter. Completely displaced the fire from the first food warehouse. Now we have moved to the second. When Ivan Petrovich came here for the first time, it was already smoky and heated, but still tolerable, without fire. It was here and crowded. Boxes with vodka were passed along the chain. Shouts of Vali the storekeeper came from somewhere. She begged to take out of the building vegetable oil, which was in an iron barrel. Ivan Petrovich hardly knocked her down, but could not roll it out. Then he snatched someone out of the chain, and together they rolled out the barrel.

For the second came back Ivan Petrovich, but his partner returned to the chain. The protagonist noticed, trying to find it, that not only the boxes are passed along the chain, but also the uncorked bottles. And again Ivan Petrovich rolled out the barrel with the help of someone, but it turned out that when she was rolled out, she was without a cork. The wriggling trail of oil went into the warehouse. Ivan Petrovich said Afonya Bronnikov that it is necessary to save the flour. In a low building, the third warehouse had sugar. There was also flour, which was piled into a shapeless heap. Ivan Petrovich took the first bag and took it out. Together with Sasha the Ninth, he dumped the fence connection and laid it on the road on the slope. So the bridge turned out. After that, they tore another one and laid it next to it. To find Alain decided the main character of the story "Fire" (Rasputin). The summary of the work continues with the main character's reflections on family life.

Ivan Petrovich thinks about the family

In the thirteenth chapter, he recalls how he and Alena two years ago celebrated the 30th anniversary of their life together. We went to the children, taking a vacation. The eldest daughter lived in Irkutsk. She lay in the hospital, where they did not stay long. In Khabarovsk lived his son Boris. He got married. The son and daughter-in-law asked the parents to move in with them, and Ivan Petrovich agreed. Quite ungainly was in the last year, when a new brigade of the Arkharovskites established themselves in the forestry enterprise. When they spread a front garden before the cottage, Ivan Petrovich decided to write a letter of resignation. Only one salvation was: to leave.

Misha Hampo

The events of the fifteenth chapter continue to be brief (Rasputin's "Fire" consists of 19 chapters). The protagonist pulled a sack and carried it. At first there were about ten people taking out flour. But then there were only four of them left: Ivan Petrovich, Saveliy, Afonya and some unfamiliar guy. After a while, Boris Timofeyich also adjusted himself. The main character decided to take turns: take some grain, or flour. When there was no strength left, he stopped near the building, which was the bath of Saveliy. He dragged sacks of flour into it. Still the main character noticed an old woman picking bottles from the yard - certainly not empty. Ivan Petrovich in the middle of the courtyard saw Misha Khampo. We only described this hero in a few words, making a brief summary. "Fire" Rasputin - a work in which this character plays far from the last role. He was paralyzed from childhood and lugged his right arm. The only thing that this person could say: "Hampo-o!". He lived alone, having buried his wife long ago. His nephew left for the North. Misha Khampo was a mighty force and was used to doing just anything left by one left. This man was a born guard.

Reflections of Ivan Petrovich

The sixteenth chapter begins with the reflection of Ivan Petrovich, who began to think things out more meticulous and more often, having decided to move: what is necessary for a person to live peacefully? And he decided: work, prosperity, home. Afonya persuades him to stay, but Ivan Petrovich does not listen to him.

Death of Hampo and Sonya

Bags were thrown out of the door, and he dragged them to the fence. Ivan Petrovich called someone in a drunken voice, but he did not respond. About this in chapter 17, writes Valentin Rasputin ("Fire"). The summary of her continues with the fact that the peasants began to linger more often - in order to take a breath of air. The protagonist stood, not feeling at the same time neither hands nor feet.

From the last warehouse had time to pull everything out. Uncle Misha noticed two people playing ball from colored rags. And then the blow hit him. It was Sonya. A few of the Arkhars beat him. When the protagonist saw that Hampo and Sonya were hugging in the snow, they were already both dead. The knocker was lying about five meters away.

The final

The last two chapters (18 and 19) complete the summary. The "fire" of Rasputin ends with the fact that the protagonist, returning from a fire, did not even lie down. He just sat there, looking out of the window, seeing the smoke coming from the shore. The next day the main character left the village. It seemed to him that he was entering solitude, that the earth was silent, whether meeting, or seeing him off. This concludes the story "Fire", the summary of which was presented in this article.
