Fingerprint examination

Fingerprint examination allows you to identify a person from the fingerprints of his hands. In addition, it helps to understand how the suspect behaved at the crime scene. In some cases it is fingerprinting that helps to calculate the guilty party. Forensic science has long used it, constantly improving the methods of researching fingerprints. Today it is used in all developed countries of the world.

Fingerprint examination:

- allows you to find fingerprints on objects at the crime scene, as well as on its tools;

- gives an opportunity to learn how the criminal kept the instrument of crime, the peculiarities of the structure of his hands and so on;

- lets you know when the footprints were left;

- determine how many people have visited the scene of the crime;

- to prove the presence of a particular person in one or another place.

Traditional means by which dactyloscopic examination is carried out: special powder and film. In general, it can be done in different ways. Professional expertise is carried out using the most modern technical means. Often they have a complex device and are expensive.

Judicial fingerprint examination is necessary for detection, as well as fingerprint research. It is used in most criminal cases, it is considered a true way to establish the identity of witnesses and criminals. Can be used in civil affairs.

Dactyloscopic films, on which there are imprints of tracks, are the objects of this examination. Also, objects that can be attributed to those items whose prints were erased, data stored in the documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The latter contain imprints of specific persons. In the future they can be used for reconciliation. Today, fingerprints are entered into the computer. Modern programs allow you to quickly compare the samples obtained with those stored in archives. If a person whose fingerprints were found at the crime scene has already been prosecuted, his identity will be established pretty soon. Of course, this is only possible with the necessary equipment.

When dactyloscopic examination occurs the study of papillary patterns, which are present on the hands of people. The dermis is the skin itself. It consists of a mesh and papillary layer. The form of the elevations of the papillary layer is unique. In general, their differences are in height. In those places where they are not, the skin is smooth. In other places, one can observe linear elevations of various forms. Feet feet also have both smooth seats and elevations. The curious fact is that the patterns on our hands and feet are restored, even if there is a severe damage to the dermis. Restored patterns are obtained absolutely identical to those that were before the damage. Changes are possible only if the papillary layer has been damaged.

Dactyloscopic examination is based on the fact that each person has individual fingerprints. For many years, forensics has been using equipment that allows you to accurately compare samples and establish the identity of people. A person can be identified even by the prints that were taken from him many years ago. It has already been said that the patterns on the dermis are restored. Now it is worth adding that they do not change with the years.

Dactyloscopic examination at the scene of the crime should be carried out as soon as possible. This is due to the fact that over time, new prints may appear on items, the old ones will be erased and so on. First of all, prints are removed from those items that somehow can change due to precipitation.
