"Femoston 2/10" is a medicinal product used as a substitute therapy for disorders that are caused by menopause, natural or resulting from surgical interventions. It is available in the form of tablets, which are covered with a special film membrane. The medicinal preparation is intended for internal reception.

"Femoston 2/10" contains the following active substances of hormonal nature: estradiol, dydrogesterone. Depending on their concentration, two types of tablets differ in color: orange and yellow. The first are applied at the beginning of the menstrual cycle and contain only estradiol. Yellow tablets are used from the fourteenth day of this period and include dydrogesterone. The medicinal preparation also contains auxiliary substances: lactose, methyl dihydroxypropylcellulose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, colorants.

"Femoston 2/10" has complex pharmacological properties, which are determined by its active substances. Therefore, in the body it acts like the ovarian hormone estradiol. He takes part in the regulation of the functioning of the uterus (proliferation of the endometrium, cyclic changes in the cervix). Also, estradiol occupies an important place in the metabolism of fat and bone tissue, affects the nervous system (indirect positive psychotropic effect). The drug ensures the transformation of the endometrium, which is observed under the influence of estrogen hormones, reduces the risk of developing the tumor process.

The drug has a high rate of absorption and excretion from the body. It is excreted in the urine as compounds with glucuronic acid metabolites. The disadvantage is the ability to penetrate into the milk of women breastfeeding.

How to take "Femoston 2/10"?

In the first half of the menstrual cycle, orange tablets are used that contain only estradiol. For treatment appoint a single dose during the day.
