Economic interests

Economic interests are an essential characteristic of the driving forces of the emergence and development of economic entities. Thus, the role and position of economic agents in the overall system of the division of labor is reflected. From this point of view, economic interests are objective. On the other hand, they, always having their carriers, are subjective.

Economic interests represent a conscious desire to meet economic needs. This aspiration is an objective motive, motivating to engage in economic activity.

Subjects of economic interests include individuals, households, society as a whole, and groups (collectives) of people in particular. The objects are economic goods. These include services, goods, information, and so on.

Pluralism (multiplicity) of needs provokes a variety of economic interests. They form a complex system, differing in the multidimensionality of production phases, temporal and spatial frameworks.

Closely intertwined are such concepts as property and economic interests. In this case, there is a desire of the economic entity to satisfy its needs by owning and disposing of the object.

Economic interests and their classification

In accordance with the subjects, collective (group), personal and public aspirations to meet the needs are singled out.

Economic interests can be determined depending on the importance and urgency. Thus, the primary and secondary are selected.

On a temporary basis, interests can be promising or current.

In accordance with the objects they can be intellectual, financial, property and others.

By the degree of awareness, one identifies imaginary (apparent) and actual interests.

They can also be subdivided and, in accordance with the implementation possibilities, utopian and real.

Economic entities can express special interests.

Households tend to maximize overall utility in accordance with existing incomes and prices. The interests of entrepreneurs are aimed at increasing profits, lowering the costs and increasing the competitiveness of goods. The state in its economic aspirations pursues the goal of realizing the needs of society as a whole.

Classification of economic interests is built and in accordance with the territorial sign. So, allocate municipal, national, regional aspirations. They can be global (universal).

The formation of the economic interests of an individual country takes place in accordance with the distribution of powers between the relevant local government and state authorities.

To meet the needs of a particular community, the desire of regional and municipal bodies to realize the existing potential of a certain territory is directed.

In the course of social development and the complication of economic systems , rigid administration may begin to form. The situation in this case is aggravated by the lack of feedback. In such conditions, personal interest, which is a powerful force for socio-economic development, is not given due importance. Subordination to his state aspirations contradicts the principles of the activity of complex self-organizing structures. As a result, in the formed command-administrative economic conditions there is a mismatch of economic interests. Along with this, the situation is accompanied by a distortion of the motivational behavior of subjects, oppression of the stimulating value of needs, a decrease in responsibility and motivation for highly effective work. In addition, under such conditions, there is a loss of labor values, as well as social attitudes. As a result, the psychology of dependency and dependence (in the economic sense) is developing from the state.
