Dodge Viper - five generations in the "snake" beauty

The United States of America is a country where speed and sports cars are most loved. It is famous for the whole world with its four-wheeled vehicles hovering above the roads. In the vastness of America was born a huge number of popular worldwide super-speed cars: Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Viper and Challenger, Ford Mustang , etc. It is thanks to the population of this country, the hobby of the mask-fans has become popular all over the world. If the Camaro and Mustang have a long history of development, being "veterans" of the automotive world, the super-powerful Dodge Viper diluted the ranks of sports cars much more recently - in 1991.

Like any car of this brand, this model was born in the shops of the Chrysler plant, but its distinctive feature is manual assembly. This company produced a huge number of unique machines, famous for their characteristics and unique design. However, the car, presented to the public in 1991, made a real sensation among fans of aggressive sports maskers. Designed together with the famous Formula 1 racer, this car is still considered one of the best public sports cars ever produced in the US. The name of this device is Dodge Viper. The first generation of a powerful body of "vipers" (that's how the viper is translated) was a convertible, under the hood of which was hidden a ten-cylinder "heart" with a power of 400 hp. At the same time, he fully confirmed his "snake" name, being maneuverable and extremely fast.

The second generation Dodge Viper saw the light five years after the debut of the first car. At the same time, the cabriolet not only bought a brother's brother, but also underwent some modifications, improving the roof, the rear window and changing the suspension to a smoother one. The coupe had a somewhat different form from the gig and more impressive characteristics. The second-generation car had an eight-liter engine driven by a stubborn herd of 455 "horses."

Five years later, the concern released a new Dodge Viper, which belongs to the third generation of aggressive sports cars. Equipped with a gasoline engine SRT-10 volume of 8.3 liters, this dynamic and furious speed lover accelerated to 100 km in 4 seconds. One can imagine the adrenaline rush experienced by the owners of this "poisonous" device, taming under the hood of 517 "horses." Of course, we can not fail to note the leap of unprecedented interest in this steel "beast". Its first-class design, an all-time comfortable lounge and fantastic features attracted an increasing number of fans.

Inspired by the success, the engineers continued to experiment, and already in 2008, illuminated with soffits, Grand Dodge Viper of the fourth generation was grandly released. Differing from its predecessor with a more powerful engine (640 hp) and having a six-speed automatic box, this super-fast car stayed on top of the glory until mid-2010.

However, fans of this chic car did not last long: in 2012 the concern released the fifth generation of the sports car - Dodge Viper 2012, which has such characteristics that even the Formula-1 cars will envy it. It is noteworthy that the engineers did not change the engine of the car, leaving it the same as the previous generation. The efforts of the master were directed to modification of the suspension, stabilization of lateral stability, the provision of shock absorbers with a large level of damping and a reduction in the total weight of the steel "beast".

At the same time, the engineers created a trendy modification that comes in a limited number - the Dodge Viper SRT TA, where the abbreviation TA stands for "time attack". It is this option that provides uncontrollable fans of racing through a circular opportunity to even cut your record by half a second. The first test batch of this supernatural sports car was released in just 33 copies. Further release of the fifth generation Dodge Viper is planned for autumn 2013.
