Disability of the 3rd group: a place under the sun or fights without rules?

Disability ... Numerous sources of information talk about what it is, spit out medical terms, give the same instructions, how to arrange it. But when it comes to getting a specific group by a specific person, is it so smooth, how does it look on paper?

Let's sort it out in order. Before you get a disability of 3 groups, prepare for long walks on the cabinets, worn out nerves and possible failure.

To begin with, you will not find anywhere such a convenient thing as "Disability of the 3rd group: a list of diseases". Such a list does not exist at all. There is a list of diseases and conditions, in the presence of which a lifelong group can be established. But at the initial reference each case is considered individually.

Let's say you found on the network information that your disease can give a disability of 3 degrees. What's next? We go to the local doctor. We request a referral to the ITU (medical and social expertise). And then the first difficulty arises.

If all the limbs are in place, the internal organs too, the doctor can begin to convince that it makes no sense to try. Like, we do not give disability with such diagnoses, there is nothing to waste time of busy people. Insist. Have they refused? Ask for a certificate of refusal, then you can apply to the commission yourself.

Further, the commission itself. In most cases, even to apply, you will have to endure a huge queue. The commission itself consists of three people, medical specialists. It is possible that they will be doctors of the wrong direction, that your disease. That is, if you want to get a 3 degree disability due to psoriatic arthritis, the commission may well have an ophthalmologist, a neurologist and a psychiatrist.

Documents confirming your condition, too, may have a shelf life, do not forget this. For example, blood tests are valid for 10 days. Results ECG - month. In addition, you may require a job description or interview your relatives and neighbors. If at least one source shows that you are quite capable and do not need help, do not count on the group.

If the results of the ITU are not satisfactory, contact the higher authorities (ITU Main Office, the Federal Bureau of the ITU) or directly to the prosecutor's office. Here statistics diverges: someone gets help, somebody does not.

Incidentally, the disability of group 3 is given for a year. After it has expired, the procedure will have to be repeated. And a year later, too. And so on ... Practice shows that with the slightest success of the patient in life, disability is immediately removed. It is motivated by the fact that a person has been rehabilitated and no longer needs state support.

According to the chief expert of the ITU of St. Petersburg, Mr. Alexander Abrosimov, in the near future the procedure for establishing disability can become even more complicated. There will be a new assessment of the state of both physical and social. Hence, getting the disability of the 3rd group will become even more problematic.
