Cutting circle - indispensable material

To cut various materials use a circle cut-off. There are a lot of varieties of this tool. To increase the strength of abrasive cutting wheels during their production, glass fiber and metal gaskets are often used, which increase their durability. Their use allows cutting with a maximum speed of 100 m / s.

The cutting circle is used for manual and semi-automatic cutting. This tool can be used for cutting materials at an angle and with a straight cut. The cutting circle is used in machines with a rotating or stationary workpiece. The thickness of the cutting wheels depends on their diameter. It is 0.5-4 mm. The minimum thickness is a circle with a diameter of 200 mm. To have the maximum strength, their thickness should not be less than 5-6 abrasive grains.

Billets of cast iron and steel are cut by electrocorundum circles, and non-ferrous metals and nonmetallic materials - by circles made of silicon carbide. For the cutting of refractory materials, circles made with bakelite bond are used by the method of building abrasive material on a metal disc .

Increase in grain increases the productivity of the circle, but reduces its strength and strength. To increase them, a metal bond is often used. The cut-off circle, thus strengthened, has an increased edge resistance, since the mass breakdown of the abrasive grains stops during their blunting. The degree of wear of the cutting circle with the metal bond is proportional to the grain size. The quality of the surface to be cut depends on the reduction in grain size and the increase in concentration. For circles of white electrocorundum, the grain size is optimal at a concentration of about 50% (to the mass of the circle).

The circle cut-off allows not only to increase labor productivity when working with different materials, but also reduces their consumption, eliminates deformation and the presence of burns. Using an angle grinder ("grinder") allows you to use it not only in industry, but also in everyday life. Cutting wheels for metal, the price of which directly depends on the material of which they are made, and their size, can provide high-quality, accurate and rapid cutting of steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal of almost any configuration. So which one to choose a cutting circle for this or that material? Everything depends on its kind and strength.

Circles on stainless steel are suitable for various alloys of stainless steel, steel, non-ferrous metals, solid castings, rolled products. For cutting with lateral load, they are of little use. The cut-off armored circle can be used for working at an inclination, and also as a sweep. For cutting stones, use cut-off wheels for the stone, although they can also be used for working with concrete, brick, tiles. What is most suitable for cutting the most durable materials? The answer to this question is unambiguous - a circle of detachable diamond. It is used when working with concrete, natural and artificial stone, asbestos, hard metal metals, ceramics, glass. Circles diamond detachable have a special strength, so they are used in a variety of areas. They are diverse in diameter and shape of the surface, can be with a segmental and continuous contour. Diamond cutting circles are used for wet and dry cutting.
