Bronnitsy (Moscow region): description, map and photo
Does armor have anything to do with this city? Specialists tend to believe that no. What is the role of this settlement in the modern Moscow region? Does it have an interesting and long history? It's all quite easy to find out.
Bronnitsy - history
For the first time this city is mentioned in the annals of the XV century. True, then it was only a village with a name according to one version of Bronichi, and on the other - Bronnich. After about three centuries, he was given the status of the city, and at some point the name was transformed. Today we know this town as Bronnitsy.
A lot has happened in the past from the foundation to the present. Do not be deceived by the small size of the city, there are quite a lot of interesting things. At different times there were N. Gogol, V. Belinsky, F. Dostoevsky, N. Ogaryov. As a rule, they all visited the city of Bronnitsy in the Moscow region on their way to the capital. What else is famous for this town? Bronnitsy (Moscow region) is a place where some famous personalities are buried, which will be discussed below. So you should not bypass this settlement by the side, considering that there is nothing interesting here.
Origin of the name and symbols
First of all, it is interesting that it is not known exactly how this toponym appeared. Of course, scientists have a lot of assumptions, but which of them is true is a mystery. It may be obvious to the commoner that this city is connected with weapons and armor, but in fact it is a mistake.
One of the most popular versions of why Bronnitsy (Moscow region) is called that way, this is the main occupation of its inhabitants in the old days - the breeding of horses. There were a lot of them here, and, of course, they demanded food and care. The ears of oats, according to this version, were sometimes called booklets or brunks, as well as barns, where the forage was stored. This version is also supported by the symbolism of the city - the coat of arms depicts a horse and spikelets. The inconsistency of this hypothesis is that the name appeared earlier than horse breeding became the main occupation of the population of Bronnitsy.
Another version says that earlier in these places there lived a feudalist named Bronnik or Brodnya, and his peasants asked who they were, answered "Bronnich", which gradually and transformed into a modern form.
Confirm or disprove any of these hypotheses is no longer possible, but it is known that the armor does not have a relationship to the toponym.

And is there anything to see the metropolitan residents here?
sights
Bronnitsy of the Moscow region is a very small, though notable, city. It differs quite a solid and far-off history, although it is not all that it is interesting.
Travel virtually in any city begins with the central square. The exception should not be Bronnitsy (Moscow region). Photos of the ensemble decorating the heart of the city are placed on postcards, mugs and other souvenirs that travelers can bring from here. This complex of buildings was built in the XVII-XIX centuries, and the most significant and interesting part of it is the temple of Michael the Archangel. He is curious not only the building made in the Moscow Baroque style, but also the original stucco, preserved in the interior.
By the way, near the temple are the graves of Pushkin's close lyceum friend - I. I. Puschina and his colleague MA Fonvizin (nephew of the famous writer) who were Decembrists. It is curious that Mikhail Alexandrovich's wife - Natalia Dmitrievna (in the nephew of Alukhtin) - after his death entered into marriage with Ivan Ivanovich. By the way, it was her features that were embodied in many works of writers of the time. In part, it served as a prototype for such heroines as Sonechka Marmeladova, Tatyana Larina, Natasha Rostov.
Among other interesting places is the Church of Elijah the Prophet, which is immediately at the entrance to the city from Moscow. Previously, near this temple was the grave of Pushkin's grandson, but now his name is immortalized by a monument and a park located in Bronnitsy. Another interesting example of local architecture is the Jerusalem Church, erected in the XIX century in the style of classicism.
Probably, you should not go there purposefully, but it's quite possible to glance along the road and have a good time here.
Problems
The entire Moscow region, probably, suffers from one problem, which is also its advantage - the proximity of the capital. The main city of the country draws to itself all the resources, becoming the focus of business, cultural, economic life. Bronnitsy (Moscow region) is no exception. People prefer not to look for work inside the city, knowing that they will lose in income. This generates a pendulum migration, and after it emerges one of the major metropolitan problems - many hours of traffic jams at the entrance and exit from the region. The metro station "Vykhino" - in the southeast of the capital - is one of the busiest, and the inhabitants of Bronnitsy play here not the least role.
In order to find options for getting rid of these difficulties, the governments of both actors should work together, but this does not happen yet. The solution of transport and economic problems of the Moscow agglomeration should be comprehensive, directed simultaneously to the development of regional cities and the rationalization of traffic flows.
