The Boeing 767-300 is a passenger airliner designed to fly medium and long distances. In total, the manufacturer assembled 104 units of this model. Brief history of creation

Work on the aircraft project began in the fall of 1984. Initially, it was planned to create a short-haul passenger airliner, which should have a short take-off and increased capacity. As shown by market research, at that time such a ship was not in demand on it, in connection with which the developers switched their attention to the transcontinental airplane. The Boeing 767-300 scheme is somewhat reminiscent of the Airbus A-300. At the same time, a liner based on the modification 767-200 was built. From its predecessor, it differs, first of all, in the length of the fuselage (it increased by 6.43 meters), the chassis and the design of the airframe. It should be noted that at that time aviation technologies were at a very high level of development. In this regard, it is not surprising that the ship received economical and powerful power units, composite materials in the hull design, as well as high-quality high-tech equipment. At the development stage, computer modeling was widely used . January 30, 1986 the novelty carried out its debut flight, and eight months later - received the FAA certificate. The first instance of the airliner was received by an aviation company from Japan - Japan Airlines.

Modifications

For the entire history of the model, the developers have created several of its subspecies. In particular, in May 1989 a test sample of this liner with engines from Rolls-Royce was presented. Six months later, he received all the necessary certificates and was put into serial production. Further development of the model was the appearance of the Boeing 767-300 ER, which was distinguished by an increase in the flight range. In addition, in 1993 the development of cargo modification (767-300F) was completed. In this version, the aircraft acquired a side door for loading and special equipment for performing loading and unloading operations. The model is capable of carrying 24 containers of LD3 on its board. Its first flight was made on June 20, 1995.

In late 1996, representatives of the manufacturer announced the beginning of the development of a new 767-400 aircraft based on this modification, which was to receive a longer fuselage, increased wing span and vertical aerodynamic surfaces.

Main characteristics

As already mentioned above, the length of the Boeing 767-300 fuselage, in comparison with its predecessor, has increased. This allowed to install on the model two additional sections. In addition, the developers have strengthened the chassis and body design. As for the dimensions of the aircraft, its length and wingspan are respectively 54.9 and 47.6 meters. In an empty condition, the aircraft weighs 90.1 tons. At the same time, its take-off mass is 159.2 tons.

The liner is equipped with two General Electric turbojet engines , the thrust of each of which is 26260 kg / s. There are also modifications with Rolls-Royce RB 211. The cruising speed of the model is 910 km / h, while the operating ceiling is set at 13100 meters. Given the maximum load and reserve reserve fuel, the airliner is able to cover a distance of 4350 kilometers. In standard conditions, runways with a length of at least 1900 meters are required for the operation of the ship.

One of the most comfortable aircraft in terms of comfort for traveling to medium and long distances is rightly considered to be Boeing 767-300. The interior of the model has a width of 4.72 to 5.03 meters. Depending on the configuration and installation of the seats, it can carry from 218 to 350 people at a time (with crew members included).
