Do you like flowers? If yes, then this article is for you. Now, alas, the prices for flowers in flower shops are quite high. Especially, expensive varieties are palm trees. And every florist-lover dreams that in his house there would be at least one big and beautiful palm tree. And it's quite simple to implement a dream. I suggest you a recipe for growing under the name "date palm in the home." This beautiful powerful plant will please your eyes for more than a decade. So, where to start? What do I need to know? And most importantly how to grow a date palm right?

Stage number 1. Material for growing.
It happens that seeds (seeds) are sold in flower shops, but it's even easier to just buy dates in any grocery store. Eat this delicious and healthy fruit, and get a bone, from which you will get a magnificent date palm tree. It is advisable to plant it for several days.

Stage number 2. In what and how to plant.
You can of course take any land, mix it with sand and put in it bones. But, it's better to buy a special soil mix for palm trees. It has the right balance of different types of soil, it is clean and safe, there are no pests in it. You can plant a bone in any dish with a diameter of about 8 millimeters in diameter. The ideal option is, of course, clay pots. Take the most ordinary, without drawings and varnish on the surface, pots. Believe me, all this decor reduces the level of air circulation to almost zero. Be sure to provide good drainage. Do not forget that the palm tree is, after all, a tropical plant, and it does not tolerate the overmoistening of the soil.

Stage number 3. Watering and fine points of care.
Pots with seeds inside, should be watered regularly, do not allow the drying of the earth, put in a well-lit, but without direct sunlight, place. Remember that the date palm tree at home should feel as comfortable as in its natural habitat. To ensure that your bones germinate, within three months, provide them with a sufficiently high ambient temperature of about 25-30 degrees. The ideal time for planting is the end of spring. By the winter your plants will seem to the light and will have time to grow stronger. Winter is a period of rest for the palms. The air temperature can now be much lower, and watering them should be a little less frequent. But, all the same, the soil must always remain slightly moist. So we grow our little fingers until spring.

Stage number 4. Transfer.
You have already realized that the date palm is planted at home is not so difficult. And now it is important to give the plant the opportunity to develop further. In the spring, about a year after you planted the stone in the ground, the plant should be transplanted into a new pot. Its diameter should be 10-11 millimeters. Further in the care of everything also. Watering in summer is plentiful, in winter it is moderate. The temperature in the warm season is 25-30 degrees, in winter, not lower than 15C. Water, always with water at about thirty degrees. Cold water does not like palm trees.

Stage number 5. Problems that you may encounter.
A grown date palm at home can give you a bit of a hassle. Basically, all problems are related to mistakes in care. What they are:
• If the leaves have turned yellow, this is the first sign that you are not watering the plant properly. Dry leaves are unlikely to return to life.
• If only the tips of the leaves turn yellow or brown, this is evidence of over-dried air in the room where the palm tree is. To prevent this, in the hot season, regularly spray the leaves. Another possible cause of this state of leaves, may be cold air or draft.
• If there are brown spots on the leaves, or if the leaf is completely brown, this may be a sign that you are overmoistening the plant and it has begun to rot. But, do not confuse the state of putrefaction, with the completely normal dying off of the old lower leaves.

Well, in general, the home date palm is not a very whimsical plant, which is quite simple in content and care. And that it is interesting to live it is capable of up to 200 years. So maybe you can grow a palm tree that will please more than one generation of your family.
