The theme of the Crusades has become very popular in the last decade. A lot of historians and ordinary inhabitants read the pages of history again, devoted to the campaigns of the army of Christ to the East. The Crusades began in the 13th century and lasted for a couple of centuries with varying intensity. It was a time of chivalry, of "eternal ideal", of romanticism. Undoubtedly, the ancient battles of this period have become a favorite theme for cultural figures. In 2007, a multi-budget German film "Arn: Knight" was released. In the center of attention is a young believer who, in search of himself, goes to the Promised Land to fight the enemies of the Lord. The new world brings him the joy of first love, the bitterness of loss, the sense of the illusory border between good and evil.

The tape was shot in several countries and received very high marks from critics. Costumes, castles and other attributes of the Middle Ages were performed at the highest level, but the battle scenes leave much to be desired. For the film adaptation, we used mostly "diverse" shooting. In one frame, a knight brings a sword to strike, and already in the next shot, taken from another angle, the enemy falls to the ground. That is, the moment of the strike itself is not shown.

Boasting battle scenes can blockbuster "Kingdom of Heaven." He became one of the most famous in his genre. The ancient battles for Jerusalem were reflected in the painting by Riddleley Scott.
