Anapa. Flooding and tropical rain

October 20, 2014 Anapa turned into Russian Venice. The heavy rain began 3 days before the accident. The city went under the water motorways, streets, sidewalks, cellars, residential economy class. In the city fell four months of rainfall.

On October 18, a tropical torrential rain fell on the city, periodically ceasing, then intensifying. By October 20, the city was completely mired in muddy water, the Anapka River came out of the banks. A stream of water began to flow swiftly along the sections of the roads, under which it was impossible to resist. Such strong flows were formed for the first time. The emergency incident instantly concealed the roads and neighborhoods of the city of Anapa. The flood caused damage to the inhabitants. Severnaya street, the Alekseevka cottage settlement, the villages of Varvarovka and Anapskaya were severely damaged by the water disaster. The traffic of cars along Mirnaya Street was blocked. Were flooded transformer substations in the city of Anapa. Flood damaged power lines.

Rescue operations

Strongly damaged Vladimirskaya Street, in the vicinity of which the city's bakery is located. The cellars of pizzerias, cafeterias and shops were flooded. Warehouse food has deteriorated. "Vodokanal" provided stable operation of the pump station of the Northern street. Emergency crews were sent from nearby cities for restoration work. City authorities have minimized losses of regional scale. The damage to private households could not be calculated.
