Analogue "Ursosana" - reliable protection of the liver

For the treatment of liver diseases in adults, as well as physiological jaundice in newborns, the "Ursosana" analog is often used, since the original drug is unavailable for some patients because of the high price.

Features : The medication "Ursosan", produced in Prague, belongs to the group of hepatoprotectors, and is capable of having cholelitholitic and choleretic, hypocholesterolemic and hypolipidemic effects. The main active ingredient of the drug is ursodeoxycholic acid, which in the body forms non-toxic compounds with bile acids, and this substance allows for normal reflux-esophagitis and biliary gastritis to work the stomach and liver. In addition, the composition of the drug includes such auxiliary substances as corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, gelatin, magnesium stearate and titanium dioxide.

Known analogues : Choosing the substitute "Ursosana", you can pay attention to the following analogues of the drug: Ursolizin produced in Italy, produced in Ukraine "Ursohol" and "Ukrliv", manufactured in Canada "PMS-Ursodiol". In the domestic pharmacological market, Ursofalka and Holudexan are often found, which are identical in composition to the known and expensive Prague drug, and are characterized by the same effect on the gallbladder and liver of patients.

Indications : The analogue "Urososana" is prescribed for patients suffering from biliary cirrhosis and reflux gastritis, with cholelithiasis and cystic fibrosis, as well as with cholestatic syndrome of various types of liver changes. Newborn babies such substitutes for the drug are prescribed in the case of physiological jaundice, which by the age of two weeks does not pass by itself and therefore requires full treatment. If long-term physiological jaundice in newborns is not treated, the body increases the amount of bilirubin that adversely affects the brain.

Although "Ursosan" and alcohol are not combined, this drug is prescribed for patients suffering from chronic alcohol dependence for further stabilization of liver tests. However, for the treatment to be most effective, it is recommended that patients completely abstain from drinking alcohol during the period of taking the medicine.

Contraindications and side effects : The analogue of "Ursosana" is contraindicated in the presence of a patient with X-ray-positive gallstones and hypersensitivity, cirrhosis of the liver in the last stage, poor functionality of the gallbladder. The use of this drug is also not recommended in cases of pronounced disorders in the functioning of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, as well as inflammation of the biliary tract. In pregnancy, the analogue of "Ursosana" can be used exclusively for the purpose of the attending physician in situations where the expected effect for the expectant mother is significantly higher than the risk for the fetus to be born. Among the side effects of "Ursosana" and its substitutes is the possibility of nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, allergic reactions and abdominal pain, and the consolidation of gallstones.

Reception of the drug : Analogue "Ursosana" - a drug that is taken orally, and doctors advise it to wash down with water. The course of treatment and daily doses depend on the specific disease and its severity. So, if the goal of taking the drug is complete dissolution of bile cholesterol stones, the daily dose is usually 10 mg / kg, and the patient's treatment lasts from six months to a year. After cholecystectomy, with chronic hepatitis and cholestatic diseases, the doses and the term of taking the drug remain similar. A short-term course of taking the drug is possible only in the case of biliary dyskinesia, and in this situation it lasts from two weeks to two months.
