Summary. Pushkin. The poem "Gypsies"
The poem is decorated with descriptions of the gypsy life, the surrounding nature. This does not convey a summary. Here, as in any other work of Pushkin, behind seeming simplicity lies the philosophical depth. Once, Zemfira's father, an old gypsy, told Aleko the story of his love. His beautiful wife Mariula left him a little daughter and left the camp with the other. Aleko is amazed: why the deceived husband did not take revenge on the unfaithful wife and her lover? The old gypsy thinks wisely that love can not be kept by force.
Pushkin. "Gypsies" - an essay on the problems of society's life
The poem brings the reader to a comparison of a society that lives according to the rules it has adopted, with a free people who recognize only the laws of nature. Which of them are stronger and more correct? Can a person from a civilized society not obey the generally accepted norms? Waking up one night, Aleko sees that Zemfira is not around. He goes to look for her and overhears her conversation with a young gypsy. Zemfira said that she does not like her husband, that he bored her. Aleko in a fit of jealousy kills a young rival and a traitorous wife with a dagger.
A.S. Pushkin. "The Gypsies". Summary. Ending
This tragic denouement ends with Pushkin's story, summing up the end of Aleko's free existence. Tabor, seeing the murderer and his two victims in the morning, made his decision. Burying Zemfira and her young lover, the gypsies were driven out of the Aleko camp and left. He could not live in harmony with nature. Alexei wanted freedom for himself, but when faced with the choice of Zemfira, regarded it as a crime. He, even being in the gypsy camp, continued to live according to the unfair laws and rules adopted in his society. After all, there are some who enjoy freedom through the unfreedom of others.
Conflict of the secular man with the laws of nature. Pushkin. "The Gypsies." The brief content of the poem and its essence
Such a verdict was passed by a young poet. The poem, with its lyrical digressions, immerses the reader in the romantic world of free people - the nomadic gypsies. They are simple and wise, they are free and recognize the right of others to freedom. That's why they took Aleko as their brother. But he could not understand the image of their thoughts, their rules of life. The story of the old man about Mariul and Aleko's reaction to him were harbingers of the subsequent tragic events.
Afterword

"Gypsies" (the summary, of course, does not give a complete impression of the poem) - a work that has become a powerful contribution of the young poet in the world of romantic literature.
