Actor John Terry: Selected Filmography

John Terry is an American theater and film actor. The most famous projects in his filmography are the television series Charlie's Angels and the criminal Zodiac thriller.

Carier start

Actor's debut of John Terry took place in 1980: in the fantastic picture of Terry Marcel "The Hawk-Avenger" he played the main role.

After Terry's first success in the movie, there followed the comedy There Goes the Bride, which did not gain much popularity.

The next work of actor John Terry was the drama "Country", based on a book by Bobby Ann Mason. The film was positively evaluated by critics, but this did not help him pay back his 18 million budget at the box office.

Roles in the cinema

In 1992, the actor appeared in the thriller "Risen", adaptation of the novel by GF Lovecraft "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward." The picture came out immediately on the video, because it could not boast of good box office.

In the same year, the actor played the role of Slim in the drama "On Mice and Men," based on the novel of the same name. The film became a director's debut for actor and musician Gary Sinise and, as it turned out, very successful. Film critics described the film as a "pleasant surprise", highly appreciating both the plot, and the direction, and acting. For actor John Terry it was a colossal experience - during the filming he worked with such great actors as John Malkovich and Sherilin Fenn.

Despite the success of the picture "On mice and people," the most famous film with John Terry was and remains "Zodiac." It is probably impossible to find a viewer who would not have heard of this gloomy criminal thriller about an elusive serial killer based on real events.

The main roles in the film were played by Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Jacob Gyllenhaal, and the role of the editor involved in the game of the Zodiac was played by John Terry. The actor, whose films had been so successful before, became even more popular. "Zodiac" quickly became a classic thriller genre and is considered one of the best films in the history of cinema.

Television projects

Career on television for actor John Terry began in 1994 with the medical drama "First Aid", in which he played the supporting role.

In 2002, the actor was approved for the role of John Warner in the political thriller "24", over which he worked for almost a year.

Particular attention in Terry's television filmography deserves the series "Lost", in which he played the role of Christian Shepard, surgeon, father of Jack Shepard. His character appears throughout the six seasons of the television series. "Staying alive" won many prestigious awards, including 11 Emmy Awards and 10 Saturn Prizes.
