A request letter is our emotional message, which requires a mandatory response

Whether you like it or not, no type of activity is possible without requests for assistance and assistance. Working in a small or large company, you necessarily interact with many managers and employees of other organizations, your colleagues or employers, partners and customers. At the same time you conduct business and personal correspondence, often using e-mail.

Undoubtedly, a letter-request is written only when there is a good reason for this: information, documents, material assistance, any actions are needed. Therefore, its text should be appropriate. He is obliged to communicate clearly the essence of the problem and the ways to solve it, the wish or demand. It is unacceptable to spill out emotions in such letters, they should be restrained, even if the person closest to you read it, not to mention business correspondence. It's funny, but most of the correspondents who did not learn the rules of etiquette in their time, admit this error and scribble in the texts: "Disgusting! We demand! Therefore, often such an overemotional letter-request does not receive the expected reaction, but is simply ignored by the person who received it.

To avoid this, ask key questions before starting to write: "What is it for?", "What is the result to get?" After that it will be easier to formulate the main phrase, for example: "I ask you to finance the project ...", " I count on your participation ... "One letter-request can contain several applications or proposals at once, then it includes the relevant words, such as:" At the same time we hope ... "," Along with this ... "," At the same time we ask for assistance in ... ".

In no case can the rules of elementary courtesy be ignored, therefore, regardless of whether this is a personal or business letter, the request should be stated correctly. And no matter how much you like or dislike its recipient, remember that the pen (written on the keyboard) can not be cut with an ax. In addition, any message can be read not only by the addressee, but also by his colleagues, relatives, friends. Why put yourself and others in an awkward position?

In rules of good taste, as well as in the rules of business correspondence, it is very important to be able to greet the interlocutor. Even when working as a salesman in a stall, it is unacceptable to leave someone without this important element of the hostel, all the more appealing to someone for help. Therefore, each request letter must begin with a laconic and respectful greeting and end with a wish for good and a polite farewell, after reading which the addressee, even if he does not know you personally, will understand that he is dealing not with a hysterical person, but with a person controlling himself.

Let's briefly imagine how a letter-request should look structurally. Example: greeting, a brief description of the situation, the essence of the question and petition, an expression of hope for help, a polite farewell.
