Закличка - what is it? Songs for children

From the earliest childhood, every person knows the word roll-call. That this is a musical and poetic work based on faith in the magical power of the word, he will learn later, from the school program. The addresses of the rolls in antiquity are still meteorological phenomena and celestial bodies.

Evolution

Songs-zaklichki refer to the folk art of the ancient folklore layer. At the initial stage of their functioning they embodied the verbal magic of adults, after, through the Christianization of traditional folk culture, these beliefs gradually lost their relevance, meaning, but continued to live in the world of children's ideas about the surrounding world of nature. Earlier appeal to the sun, rain, clouds, wind were directly related to the main occupation of the peasants - agricultural labor. Words invariably were accompanied by certain magical actions, the echoes of which preserved in modern texts a roll. That this is a magical ritual, now you can definitely not affirm.

Composition Structure

This folklore element has changed a lot since ancient times, but its essence remained the same. It's a request that it starts to rain, clouds disappear or the sun comes out. The prolonged functioning of the rolls among the children gave a second wind to the forgotten patterns of ancient beliefs. Now zaklichki - mostly children's creativity. Compositional majority of them have a common structure: an exposition and a kind of epilogue, in which, in fact, the desire (stopping or falling out of rain, the appearance of the sun, etc.) is concentrated. The rolls for children are extremely melodic, their manner of pronunciation is recitative-declamatory. Pronounce them or individual performers, accompanying the pronunciation of the original pantomime elements (movements of the trunk, head, hands), or a group of children. Along with jokes, this is the most reproductive genre in the repertoire of children's creative groups.

Spring registration

It is already clear that this is a kind of pagan origin song. And, of course, like any folklore concept, the roll has its own classification. The most famous are the treatment of requests for spring. They also represent ritual songs that accompanied the Eastern Slavic ritual of gukan (cliches). In addition to complaining about the prolonged winter, the performers call the spring, addressing not only the diverse phenomena of nature, but also to animals and birds - the messengers of spring. They are also called spring, crochet, etc. Their words meant not only consistency in the change of seasons, but also expressed ideas about the causes and consequences of changes in nature. In order to provoke the arrival of birds, and with him, respectively, and the beginning of spring, this process should be imitated, portrayed. The main means of spring zakikaniya was baking waders or larks. Baking was distributed to children or placed on elevated plots, less often tied with threads and thrown into the air. At the same time, ritual songs were performed - the vespers, which were supposed to bring closer, to summon the spring.

Christian images

Extremely curious is the process of penetration of Christian images into pagan formulas. Their introduction into the folklore element did not change the essence. Although the researchers have often asked themselves the question: "Christian roll-call - what is it?". One of the most common and well-known examples can clarify the situation:

"Mother of God,

Give us rain,

The rain of a gray,

Bogomolnenky "

As it becomes clear, the desire to achieve the desired action from the natural forces has been preserved, only the destination recipient has changed. In any case, irrespective of any innovations, the images addressed in the zaklichkah were and remain mythological.
