Yulia Vysotskaya's restaurant in Moscow: photos and reviews

The restaurant bar with the unique name "Yornik" began its work in 2011. The restaurant of Julia Vysotskaya in Moscow opened at the intersection of Brestskaya and B. Gruzinskaya streets - and this is not an accident: this area is considered the most successful for the opening of gastronomic institutions. In the kitchen of the restaurant hosts the chef, invited by Julia from London. Chef Daniel Fippard has extensive experience in English and American institutions. The motto of the chef: "Cooking is simple, but creative." With the choice of the head of the restaurant, the Russian actress did not fail - he was so good that now he simultaneously heads two restaurants: the restaurant of Julia Vysotskaya on Mira Avenue and the restaurant on Bolshaya Gruzinskaya.

What is "Yornik"?

According to Ozhegov's interpretation, "Yornik" is one that likes to joke, perniculate. It's a mischief. This name for the restaurant author of culinary masterpieces has chosen not casually: among the numerous friends of the actress there are a lot of such "ernikov". And the walls of the restaurant are decorated with portraits of famous "ernikov": F. Bacon, W. Burroughs, V. Mayakovsky, G. Miller, E. Ionesco, and others.

New restaurant from Julia Vysotskaya

The restaurant is open every day from 12 noon to 12 noon. The restaurant offers European cuisine as well as author's cuisine. The prices here are democratic: the average bill is about 1500 rubles.

Restaurant location

The area in which the restaurant is located is considered the most successful for the opening of gastronomic institutions: there are many restaurants around, and even very good ones. The competition here is incredible! However, the restaurant of Julia Vysotskaya at the Byelorussian one does not lose itself in such a strong competition: people know and people of this institution, many come here from the other end of the city to have a delicious meal and have a great time.

Address, where the restaurant is located: st. B. Gruzinskaya, house 69 (near the metro station "Belorusskaya").

The restaurant of Julia Vysotskaya on Bolshaya Gruzinskaya Street is actually located practically on Tverskaya Street, namely behind the building, which houses the "Bahetle" and the Starbucks coffee house.

Many people say that the restaurant has a small drawback - its sign. If a person initially does not know where the restaurant of Julia Vysotskaya is, then it will be very long to look for it.

Restaurant design

The restaurant of Julia Vysotsky in Moscow is decorated in the American pre-war vintage style. It is dominated by ebony and bronze framing of furniture. Someone thinks that it's too gloomy, but most people are delighted with this idea of decorating a Moscow restaurant.

The space here is small: there are enough places for 50 people, which, it would seem, should make people sit tightly to each other (as they say, "elbow to the elbow"). However, the tables here are so well located that there is absolutely no feeling of "tightness".

As it was said earlier, the creators of the restaurant decided to give their preference to famous representatives of the province: on the walls there are photographs of celebrities personally selected by Konchalovsky. Here you can see Vladimir Mayakovsky, and William Burroughs, and Jean Genet, Anton Chekhov, Ferdinand Selin, and many more famous ernikov.

Restaurant menu

The menu of the restaurant is small. There are only three sections: snacks, hot dishes and desserts. He developed, of course, under the strict control of the hostess restaurant chef Daniel Fippard. Guests are surprised at such a democratic price for dishes: you can order tartar from tuna for only 510 rubles, beet soup - 270 rubles, greech from chanterelles - for 450 rubles, and pelmeni on a cushion of cabbage will cost only 420 rubles. Guests celebrate the incredible taste of coffee served.

Beverages

The restaurant features exclusively non-alcoholic drinks, as the restaurant does not have a license to sell alcohol. Someone with a sneer says that the restaurant is not licensed for one simple reason: the owners opened the restaurant in a hurry, and they had absolutely no time to deal with this kind of business. However, the owners of the restaurant, and his waiters for such comments react quite calmly. In addition, according to recent data, it became known that the restaurant will still acquire a license in the near future.

Food

The menu in this establishment is quite small. In fact, it's very good. This means that the restaurant has a small number of blanks, and fresh ingredients are used for cooking.

Of all the dishes of the restaurant, there are several most popular:

  • Beetroot soup, served with rye bread. And the presentation of the dish is quite interesting: pickled cucumbers are laid out on the bottom of the dish, cut into neat cubes, then - beets cut into circles, top is added with a spoonful of sour cream on which the "chips" of rye bread are fixed. When served, this bread is poured with beet pulp.
  • Terrin, made from pork and chicken, served with yoghurt and sweet and sour sauce. The dish is unique: unlike the traditional holodtsa, there is more meat here than jelly. The dish is decorated with pickled vegetables and chervil leaves.
  • Risotto from smoked fish, which is served with herbs (green onions and parsley) and bitturt.
  • Dessert is a combination of ginger ice cream and a warm cupcake, which is served with pistachios and watermelon and melon slices. It should be noted that this dish "from the chef" is not on the menu - it is prepared exclusively to order.

It is necessary to allocate local bread, which is baked here independently, and do not run after it to a nearby store. It is made from unbleached flour, on a special leaven. Guests say that it turns out incredibly delicious.

Service

Service staff of the restaurant is surprisingly timid. The waiters are not yet accustomed to such an invasion of visitors. However, they know their business: they listen attentively to any requests of guests and try to execute them as quickly as possible. Even no doubt that the restaurant does not have a license for the sale of alcoholic products, waiters for such jokes from the guests react quite calmly. Some even laugh at it, suggesting "to send a messenger to a neighboring store" for alcohol, which, the waiters promise, will not be included in the bill.

Reviews

The guests very much loved the Yornik restaurant as much as the restaurant of Julia Vysotskaya on Mira Avenue: reviews about both restaurants are mostly positive. Even a dim sign and a small restaurant hall can not spoil the impression that the guests have after visiting this institution: guests celebrate an incredibly tasty and at the same time inexpensive food, as well as a calm and magnificent atmosphere (which is in contrast to Julia's "bustle"). Again, guests also celebrate the incredible coffee that is brewed here.

The restaurant is known and loved by many. Such Russian celebrities as Alla Pugacheva, Maxim Galkin, Christina Orbakaite and many others came to congratulate the Russian actress on the opening of the restaurant.

By the way, if someone still thinks that the food is prepared by Julia Vysotskaya herself, as she successfully does this before the photo and television cameras, he will be disappointed. All dishes are prepared without the participation of the actress: here she is a mistress. Guests celebrate a small amount of portions, but the original serve. Yes, indeed, the chef of the restaurant "Yornik" follows its motto: "Cooking is simple, but creative." It is Daniel Fippard who is considered the only Englishman who decided to take a big risky step: he decided to rethink the Belarusian cuisine and remake the dishes in his own way. And he was not mistaken: the restaurant has a stunning success among Muscovites and visitors of the city.
