Because of this, ostensibly, all of her following litters had the same attractive set of qualities. They were incredibly good-natured, blue-eyed and had a wonderful white fur. And for the manner of absolutely relaxed lying on the hands of the owners, they were called ragdoll, which means "rag doll" in English.

Ragdoll cats breed: psychological characteristics

These cats are more like dogs in their psychology. They are incredibly attached to the owner and constantly need to communicate with him. These charming creatures will meet you at the door and follow you around the house, whatever you do, rather purring at your approach and periodically rubbing your soft cheek against the feet of your beloved family member. By the way, the daily routine for a ragdoll is a law. He does not make noise at night and does not wake people until they wake up.

Ragdolls are also tolerant and loyal to other animals in the house.

Ragdoll has a wedge-shaped head with well-developed cheeks and medium-sized ears. And, of course, a special sign of this breed are the stunning beauty of blue eyes, which leave no one indifferent to those who have encountered these animals.

The breed of cats ragdoll has several colors: chocolate, lilac, blue, red, tortoiseshell. They are classified as one of the largest domestic cats: adults can reach up to 7 kg of weight.

Because of the excessive tolerance of the ragdolls to all who take them in their hands, the owners need to be very careful so that, for example, small children do not injure the cat. Meals "off the table" for such cats are not good. The food offered to the ragdoll should be high-grade (chicken, meat, milk) and balanced, so that your pet grows healthy and cheerful. It can be canned food or expensive varieties of food.
