What is a dense forest?

The forest is one of the constituent parts of the surrounding world, a system of living and inanimate nature (air, water, land). This place, covered with plantations of trees, bushes, mushrooms and other plants. Nearly a third of the planet's land is filled with forests.

What are they like?

There are different classifications of forests. Consider some of their varieties:

  • Distinguish high and low-bore forests. High-growth trees are those grown from seeds, and low-stemmed ones are from shoots.
  • Forests are subdivided into a set of plantings from one breed and mixed, when two species (or more) of trees meet.
  • By age - young, middle and old.

Other classification

Separately distinguish the European forest classification:

  • Those that are located in the northern and temperate zone. Here you can see evergreen coniferous plantations, individually cultivated parks, groves, where, in general, trees with a wide leaf, dense forests, as well as forests, where different types of wood are represented, prevail.
  • Forests located in the tropical zone and subtropics. Here the mountainous, prickly impassable forest prevails, the coppices grown on marshes or with exotic plants.

It is generally believed that the surface of the earth covers a multitude of trees, bushes and other organisms that grow autonomously, which feed on air and inorganic substances from the soil, depending on the climatic zone of their location. Thus, in the northern belt, there is often a dense forest, deciduous-fir, artisanal coppices. Due to the fact that the northern part of the earth's area is less populated, and the infrastructure is poorly expressed, the air in these parts is especially clean. Often there are fringes - these are the bands where the forest smoothly passes into adjacent vegetation. A special attention deserves a dense forest - it is dense, overgrown, impassable or even impenetrable. In it, as a rule, live wild animals.

In the tropics are wet rain forests, mostly they grow on marshes, form thickets. The forest area is not clearly delineated, it gradually passes from one deciduous ecosystem to another. There are many lianas, tree-like plants that cling to other bioorganisms. Not so often you can meet overgrown with dense forest, people bypass such impenetrable thickets side, it is very dangerous to be in them.

Who lives in the forest?

The animal world is an integral part of the forest nature. The inhabitants are diverse, their types and distribution depend on specific ecosystems. Such animals as a bear, a fox, a deer, a beaver, a partridge, are mobilized in cool areas. Tigers, monkeys, mongooses live in warm countries. The dense forest, which is found everywhere, is inhabited mainly by wild animals: moose, boars, hyenas. More often than in other forests, there are snakes.

Green forest plantations play a big role in human life and nature in general, as it takes an active part in the circular circulation of oxygen, water, and has a huge impact on the gas flow in the ecosystem. In addition, the forest has a beneficial effect on the human psyche, is a powerful antidepressant.

However, man by his actions often harms the forest system. Since trees are a source of energy and raw materials, their felling is constantly underway, at least ten years are needed to restore new territories. Because of the misconduct of people in nature, fires often occur. In this case, a great threat is born by a dense forest, which is very difficult to extinguish the flame, which at the same time spreads with lightning speed.

Conclusion

Therefore, people should be taught to protect nature from the earliest years. The vital activity of all mankind depends on its safety.
