What can be attributed to educational electronic resources? The use of electronic educational resources in the educational process

Currently, both printed and electronic educational resources are equally popular. However, if the former exist long enough, the latter appeared relatively recently. The use of electronic educational resources is conditioned by the needs of the modern world, the intensive development of information technologies. Many training programs are implemented today using a PC. What can be attributed to educational electronic resources? The answer to this question is in the article.

general characteristics

An electronic resource is called a digital resource. To use it, the means of BT are needed. In general, it includes subject content, structure, and metadata. The first two elements form the content. Metadata is information that characterizes the content and structure of a resource. It can include information, software that is necessary for development and subsequent application. The subject content, structure, methods of using the resource are determined depending on its functional purpose and specificity of the specific information and educational system.

Specificity

The content is the basis of the electronic resource. Metadata contains standardized information that is necessary for its search. Everything that can be attributed to educational electronic resources, information services, technologies and tools created on the hardware and software platform, together form an automated training system. The content must be edited and published and contain output data. It is distributed in an unchanged form and is called a digital edition.

Classification

What can be attributed to educational electronic resources? Content can be a variety of publications, generated in digital form. It can be:

  1. Textbooks . They contain a systematic presentation of a specific discipline, its parts, section, corresponding to the accepted curriculum. Such electronic educational resources should be officially approved and allowed for use.
  2. Teaching aids. These publications contain materials describing the methods of teaching and studying disciplines, their parts or sections.
  3. Educational and visual aids. These electronic educational resources usually contain illustrations and other visual materials.
  4. Self-teachers . They are designed for independent study of the material.
  5. Workshops . Such publications contain practical tasks that contribute to mastering the studied material.

Additionally

Not everything that can be attributed to educational electronic resources is defined in state standards. For example, GOST does not provide for automated courses and computer training programs. Meanwhile, they are also considered electronic educational resources. The computer program of training, as a rule, is presented in the form of a systematized presentation of the material intended for studying any question on the subject. It includes illustrative (multimedia including), text material, control tasks, hyperlinks. Computer programs are used both for self-study and for mastering with the help of a teacher. They contribute not only to the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, but also to provide some practical skills. Several computer programs covering various discipline issues are combined into automated courses. In their essence they act as electronic-methodical complexes.

Types of publications

All that can be attributed to educational electronic resources is divided into independent and derivative publications. The first are created initially in digital form. The basis or composition of derivative publications uses printed resources. Training material can be initially created on paper, and then transferred without changes to the digital format. In this case we are talking about an electronic copy of a printed publication.

Terms of distribution

Everything that relates to educational electronic resources is provided to users in various ways. For example, there are local digital editions. They are distributed on machine-readable removable media or files that are used on special devices. There are digital materials for network distribution. They are hosted on servers. Access to such resources is provided through information and telecommunication networks. At present, digital materials of complex distribution are being created.

Mode of interaction

Electronic educational resources in the educational process can be deterministic. The order of access to them is determined by the author or manufacturer. The rules can not be changed by the user. There are also interactive materials. Interaction with them is established by the user on the basis of algorithms that are provided by the manufacturer / author.

Structure

Electronic educational resources of the school, which contain interrelated content and are intended for collective application in the course of training, form an educational and methodical complex. Its structure and content are determined by the features and requirements of the programs, the provisions of normative and methodological documents. Educational-methodical complexes are used for studying of separate educational modules, disciplines, and also at realization of all process of training as a whole.

An Important Moment

Any electronic publication, electronic, including those intended for educational use, must undergo artistic, scientific, technical and literary editing, examination and review. Based on the results of these procedures, he is given an official stamp, according to which the type and level of application is determined. In addition, the publication must have an apparatus in accordance with GOST R 7.0.83-2012 and GOST 7.60-2003. Content that has not been processed does not belong to the official digital educational resource.

Output

They contain a complex of information in text form. The output itself is characterized directly by the publication itself. They are designed to uniquely identify the resource, bibliographic processing, informing users, as well as statistical accounting. The location and composition of this information depends on the type of digital edition, the design, the method of distribution and the number of physical media. Placement of output data is carried out on the main and additional title screens. They are connected with each other by transitions. The most important information is placed on the main screen, for additional information there is an over-release and final information. There may also be a screensaver. It is a static or dynamic image of the key idea of the work, which is made out with the help of audio or visual means, text with graphic elements. The main screen, thus, performs the function of the title page (cover) of the printed publication, and the additional one - the reverse side of it. The output should be in the form of text and available regardless of how the resource is used. They are made in accordance with GOST R 7.0.83-2012.

Information content

The output data on the additional screen contains information about:

  1. The amount of information in MB.
  2. Duration of video and audio fragments.
  3. Complete sets of the edition (number of carriers, availability of accompanying documents and so on).
  4. Requirements for the processor (clock frequency, type), the amount of free and operative memory, operating, acoustic and video system, peripheral equipment, additional software.

The minimum requirements of the network resource also include data about the browser (version and type), speed of Internet connection, additional add-ons.

Key Elements

The main material of the electronic educational publication, depending on the structure and purpose of the program, can consist of several components: parts, chapters, sections, paragraphs, etc. A frame (screen page) acts as a key element. It is an addressable component of the content of the publication in the form of a logically completed information or controlling structural unit. Each frame contains a list of elements with a certain set of properties. Components form the basis of the page script, determine the order and sequence of actions of the resource interpreter during execution. Properties specify the order of execution, the location and state of the frame. All pages have serial numbers.

Technological moments

In general, the simplest electronic resources - textbooks, self-help books, manuals - can be created in ordinary office programs. They, for example, are text and graphic editors, publishing systems and so on. In the process of creation, hyperlinks and installations of fragments borrowed from any sources are implemented. Reproduction is also possible with the help of office programs. As a rule, such resources are used for personal purposes. As for the publications required by the teacher, they require specialized methodological material, more complex programs and algorithms for their creation.
