We discuss plants for an aquarium

The aquarium is always exciting! Both the owners themselves and their guests. What could be more beautiful than watching the peaceful and peaceful swimming of its inhabitants? To aquarium was able to cause only positive emotions, it should be appropriately decorated. There is a large number of all kinds of elements that give beauty and individuality to each such home water body. And plants for the aquarium also belong to them. That's what I want to talk with you about today.

When you are engaged in decorating a dwelling for fish, do not in any way ignore the plants for the aquarium. After all, they not only perfectly decorate it, but also solve such important tasks as saturation of water with the necessary oxygen, its purification, containment of growth of algae hated by all aquarists. Yes, and many species of fish use plants for the aquarium in order to lay their eggs on them. As you can see, "green plantations" are simply necessary for aquatic fauna, so they should be present in most aquariums.

Why not in all, but in most? There are certain reasons for this. They conclude that there are some types of fish that feed on leaves, thereby destroying plants for the aquarium. Photos of fish data can be found anywhere, if you are interested in them. If it is decided to have just such fish, use only artificial vegetation.

Now I will give some description of plants for aquariums. All of them can be conditionally combined into three groups. The first will include those that are able to live exclusively under water, to the second - able to exist, while outside the "reservoir", well, and the third group includes those samples that can not be in the water at all. So, basically, for the ornamentation of aquariums, vegetation belonging to the second group is used. The most common variants are cryptocarina, lemongrass, hygrophil, echinodorus, etc. The main thing is that all the plants for the aquarium are in harmony with the fish, the shape and height of the tank. Also, it's worth taking care to have enough light for them.

When you plant vegetation in an aquarium soil (sand or pebbles - not so important), stick to some simple rules. All the largest plants should be located in the back of the tank, so as not to overload the appearance of a particular aquarium. But the smaller vegetation, as a rule, is planted in the middle and on both sides of the aquarium. Well, the smallest samples will look best in the foreground.

Finally I would like to talk more about artificial plants. Now they are gaining popularity among aquarium fans for the reasons that they do not require any care, they do not need to be fed, they never suffer from various diseases, and you can always choose absolutely any shape and color. However, do not buy them in the aquarium, where live fish, which do not overeat living vegetation.

After all, apart from decorative function, these plants will not perform any useful. In extreme cases, if you so much like something from the "man-made" flora, use it together with living plants.
