Relics of the peoples of the world: the hair of the Prophet Muhammad as a symbol of inexhaustible faith

In the modern world, there are five main religious trends - Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. From them there were many more offshoots - sects and local beliefs.

The World's Oldest Books

They tried to convey their vision of the world and the most secret knowledge to descendants, first imprinting them on stones and clay tablets, and later on papyrus and paper. Thus appeared the sacred books, in which the main precepts of each religious direction were set forth.

For Christians this is the Bible, for the Jews - Tanakh, for Islamists - for the Koran, for the Hindus - for the Vedas, for the Buddhists - for the Tripitaka. The purpose of these books is to bring to the person information about the creation of the world and establish certain rules in human relationships. In some ways the religious subjects of the sacred books and scriptures resonate with each other, in some ways, on the contrary, are radically different from each other. Undoubtedly one thing: every person is free to make a choice of what kind of God he will worship.

Names and Titles of the Prophets

Much to our regret, a modern man, having the most tremendous opportunities to study the heritage of the past, has only superficial knowledge concerning the world religion.

Few of us know that in the Bible Jesus Christ is endowed with 200 different titles and names. The most famous of them are Jesus of Nazareth, Yeshua (an important role in this was played by Bulgakov's novel "Master and Margarita"), Joshua and a number of others. For example, the Islamic believer Jesus Christ is better known under the name of Isa. Moreover, in the XVII century in the Orthodox Church there was a split because of how correctly to write in Russian the name of Christ - Jesus or Jesus.

Also, few people know all the names of the Prophet Muhammad, because it includes the entire genealogy of the most revered prophet of Islam from the creation of the world. The full name of the great prophet is over half a thousand letters. The most common are the names of the Prophet Muhammad, Muhammadul-Amin, Ahmad, Al-Khashir, Ash-Shahid, Rahim, Mustafa, Nazir and others.

The main relics of believers

Every religious movement has its own peculiarities and relics, which are worshiped by believers. The main relic of Christians is the Turin Shroud, in which, after death, the body of Jesus Christ was wrapped.

Buddhists worship holy places related to the Buddha, and his relics are a tooth, curl and bones.

Muslim relics have become in demand relatively recently, since it is customary in the traditions of Islam to bury the deceased along with his belongings.

However, many religious relics have a fairly controversial origin. Sometimes believers sincerely worship the artifice forged for holy relics and things supposedly owned by holy saints.

Shrines of Islam. Hair from the head of the Prophet Muhammad

The most revered shrine of all Muslims is the hair of the Prophet Muhammad. This fact did not fail to take advantage of scammers. Disregarding all ethical and moral norms, using the credulity of people, under the guise of a shrine, they distribute among the believers the hair of an ordinary person, giving them out as a genuine relic.

Clearly aware of the fact that there can not be so much hair on the person's head to get them all, the swindlers have invented a legend to justify themselves, supposedly the hair of the Prophet Muhammad can reproduce by itself. Let's leave this deception on their conscience. Moreover, those who want to buy a relic still have enough, and the demand for it, as they say, exceeds the supply.

The original shrines are carefully guarded and not always accessible to believers. They are carried out on public display on especially solemn days. Often this is presented as the performance of special rituals. So, Muslims have a beautiful custom to wash the real locks of the hair of the Prophet Muhammad. In order not to lose any precious hairs from the head of the prophet, the ablution is performed in silver baths located in several levels relative to each other. After the procedure of ablution with the help of a magnifying glass check whether all the hair remained in place.

It is believed that the water in which was washed by the hair of the Prophet Muhammad, acquires healing qualities, so every believer in Allah dreams of owning it. Fortunately, at the end of the ritual the water is simply distributed to all comers.

Sacred hair of Muhammad's beard

Also sacred to Muslims is another relic - hair from the beard of the prophet. Muslim believers believe that there are only 3 specimens of genuine hair from the beard. The first is located in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, the second is kept in the Hazratbal Mosque, located in the Indian city of Srinagar, the third - in the Museum of Regional significance, owned by the Tyumen City Duma. So if you want to contemplate this miracle, any resident of the Eurasian continent can.

Every educated person should respect the religious feelings of other peoples, because we are all inhabitants of one planet Earth and at the end of our life, let us come to the same house of our Creator God.
