Voronezh Chamber Theater: history, repertoire, troupe

About the theater

The Voronezh Chamber Theater opened its doors in 1993. It is state, repertory. In his troupe today serve 17 artists. For one season there are about 180 productions. In the first years of the theater, there were only four actors.

For many years the artists rehearsed and played performances in the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers. The Voronezh Chamber Theater did not have its premises for 21 years. The new building he received only in 2014. It has two auditoriums. One is designed for 180 seats. The second can accommodate only 80 spectators and is equipped with a transforming scene. The first performance, played in the new building, was "Boris Godunov" by Alexander Pushkin.

Since 1996 the troupe has been on tour and takes part in festivals. The theater chose for itself a way of self-expression through an actor's individuality. He continues and preserves the best traditions of Russian stage art.

The theater is headed by Mikhail Bychkov. Performances of Voronezh residents have repeatedly become nominees and laureates of the Golden Mask. Actress Tatyana Kutikhina received the coveted award as the best female performer. The troupe's performances often became laureates of various festivals.

Voronezh Theater is one of the top ten and most interesting provincial collectives rated by Forbes magazine.

Exhibitions

The Voronezh Chamber Theater conducts an active exhibition activity. In addition to the auditorium, he has an art gallery. "The tricks of Putti" is an exhibition of the artist Nina Proshunina (Nanika). Here you can see a whole series of her works. Nina collaborated with the Voronezh Chamber Theater. Exhibition "Light". Here are the works of the artist Vladimir Potapov. The exhibition is named "Light", as it is a picture of a large cycle dedicated to artificial lighting sources. Vladimir Potapov is a finalist and a student of various competitions.

Exhibition "Scenography, costumes". Here you can see the works of the famous theater artist Alexei Golod. He began his career in the Voronezh Theater. Was his main artist. He created scenography and costumes.

Lectures
