Mauricio Pereira was born March 15, 1990 in Uruguay, where he began his career as a football player. He studied at the youth academy of one of the strongest clubs in the country, "Nacional", with which as a result he signed a professional contract in 2008 when he turned 18 years old. However, in the basis he got far from immediately - the first season the footballer held in the club's double, and made his debut in the main team only in 2009.

In "Nacional" he spent two full years (without taking into account the debut season in a double), during which he played 61 games, scoring four goals. And in 2011, the midfielder's game noticed a more impressive club from abroad - the Argentine "Lanus". It was there and moved Mauricio Pereira - the price of his transfer was one million euros.

Going to Lanus

Mauricio Pereira is a football player who always wanted to move to Europe, so "Lanus" became for him only a step into the great future. There he spent one and a half season, having played 53 matches in which he was noted by three goals.

And in the winter of 2013 the midfielder's dream was fulfilled - he was invited to Russia by the "Krasnodar". "Lanus" agreed to compensation in the amount of two million euros from the Russian club. And on February 23 Pereira officially became a player of "Krasnodar".

Moving to "Russia"

Until the end of the season there was not much time, so Pereira, who needed to adapt, held only nine matches. But already in the second season he became the player of the base and became entrenched as one of the leaders of the team. Over the next three years he played as many as 93 games, scoring 19 goals.

In 2014, with "Krasnodar" Pereira reached the final of the Cup of Russia, and in 2015 finished the Russian Championship in third place. Thus, the only trophies of the player were those that he won in the "Nacional". In the current season, Pereira entered the field 14 times, scoring one goal and giving three assists. In 2015, the contract with the player was extended until 2019, which demonstrates the importance of Uruguayan for the team.

With regard to the national team of Uruguay, Pereira was in favor of it only at the youth level - in the adult team, he has not received a call yet.
