Tired of a slippery sole? What to do with this problem in the winter?

Every new winter we buy new attractive shoes and face the same problem: shoes slip. What to do? Of course, the corrugated sole of the problems will not deliver, but often the shoes that we buy are chosen not by the quality of the sole, which would ideally stand on the snow, but in appearance. So, a slippery outsole. What to do?

You can still pay attention to the material from which the sole is made when buying another pair of fashionable shoes. It should be a thermoplastic elastomer. You can also consider the option of a sole made of polyurethane, but it slides on the snow much more than the first material, especially if there are severe frosts on the street.

If the choice fell on the most beautiful boots in the display case and, as luck would have it, the sole is not made of thermoplastic elastomer, but very smooth, then the best option is to take the shoes to repair, where you will make rubber prevention with little money. It is reliable, aesthetically pleasing (no one will notice that something is wrong on your feet), plus it will take a long time, because the rubber boots will last for more than one season.

Let's say that this option does not suit you either. The boots are still slipping. What to do? There are several reliable "home" options to solve this problem and forget forever that there is a slippery sole, what to do with it and where to go.

1) In any hardware store, you can now find epoxy glue, which includes a resin that begins to harden at a time when both components are mixed in a tube. The result is something remotely resembling plastic. Before applying the compound on the sole, it must be degreased. The glue is mixed and quickly spread onto the sole, after which it must be sprinkled with a layer of sand. Of course, everything depends on the material from which the sole is made: the closer its material is to the composition of the glue, the better it will hold.

2) The same manipulations as in the first paragraph can be made with ordinary glue "Moment".

3) Option, which does not need to get dirty with glue: glue an ordinary adhesive plaster on the sole. Fabric is the best, the one that is sold in a store in a wide white roll. The effect of adhesion of the sole with the road will be the stronger, the rougher the fabric of the plaster. A small minus option is its high cost, because the adhesive plasters will need to be changed every 2-3 days, because they will not last long on the soles.

4) In the same shops are selling antilippers. Outwardly they resemble rubber bands on the sole with built-in screws, one rubber band is on the circle of the sole, and two others with spikes - across. But here you need advice from the sellers, which antislippers will suit your boots, since they are of several kinds. Some will fly off their feet, and with others it will be possible to gallop though at a rink at a gallop.

Well, are you trying to put on antilippers on brand-new shoes? In my head, the problem is no longer "Slippery sole. What to do?". Spins? Then we continue.

5) In the specialized shops you can find tracers that are made of polyurethane and have small spikes. The shoes are worn with thin bands. The disadvantage of this option can be called that the shoes clicks loudly in the rooms.

6) On the outline of the sole, you can cut out a sticker from an old felt boot and glue it with superglue.

Remember, in winter on pedestrian crossings, and not only, it is very dangerous to walk in shoes with a smooth sole. The ice, the rolled snow, are everywhere in danger. You can no longer think about how slippery soles, what to do with it, and so on. You can use the tips from this article, or initially buy shoes on the corrugated soles.
