There are two ways to make a page break in the Word

In all the known program "Word", after the text reaches the end of one page, the program visualizes the page break, so that the user can visually see where the sheet ends and where the new one starts. Such a gap is automatic. You can not delete it in any way, because it's simply not necessary. However, you can manually create a page break.

This article will discuss how to make a manual page break in the Word. Two fairly easy ways will be described, so that in the course of reading the article you will learn to perform these actions.

Why do I need to rip a page?

Before the story of how to make a page break in the "Word", it is worthwhile to explain the essence of this action from the very beginning. It has already been said that the gap points to the places where a new sheet begins - this is very convenient when printing.

In addition to this benefit, the gap can also help when working in the program itself. Having made it, you can simply navigate in different blocks of text. Thus, navigation on the document will be simplified at times.

Of course, instead of a manual break, you can also use automatic. But for this you have to hold down the ENTER key and hold it until the automatic break is performed. But this method is good only if you need to distribute blocks of text on several sheets, but if there are a lot of such sheets, then this method is simply useless because of the high time costs.

Also worth mentioning is that a manual break helps quickly move to a new page, which is completely empty.

Having finished with the explanations, we now turn to the very essence, to the question of how to make a page break in the "Word".

Make a manual page break

Now there are two main ways to do a manual page break in the Word. We advise you to finish reading the article to the end, in order to determine for yourself which method is more suitable for you. It is worthwhile to clarify in advance that in such a program, as in Word Pad, it is impossible to make a page break, in the absence of the option itself.

The first way: in the "Insert" tab

To break the page in the program "Word", you need to do a number of simple manipulations. As you can understand from the subtitle, you first need to go to the "Insert" tab. But the main thing - before carrying out all operations, do not forget to place the mouse cursor in the right place in the document, where it will be necessary to make the same break.

In the "Insert" tab, on the top toolbar, you need to pay attention to the "Pages" area. It is located on the very left side. There you need to click on the item "Page break". After the done manipulations, you will see that part of the text that was below the set cursor moved to a separate sheet, leaving behind an empty space - you made a page break.

But it is worth noting that if the "Word" program window is not maximized, the "Pages" area may not display the "Page Break" item. In this case, first click on the name of the "Pages" area and from the drop-down menu select the desired item.

This was the first way, as in the "Word" make a gap between the pages. But as mentioned above, there are only two of them, so we immediately move on to the next one.

The second way: in the "Layout" tab

Now the second way will be explored how to make the page break. In the "Vorda" of the 7th year, unfortunately, the "Layout" tabs do not. Therefore, the instruction will be slightly different. The difference is only in the name, in 2007 "Vord" this tab is called "Page layout". Therefore, if you work in this version of the program, then perform all the actions in it.

So, as you can already guess, the first thing to do is go to the "Layout" tab. But once again make a remark: before all actions do not forget to place the cursor in the place where you want to make a break, otherwise all manipulations will be held in vain.

In the presented tab, click on the item "Breaks". This item is located in the "Page Setup" area, which, like in the previous method, is located on the very left of the toolbar.

As soon as you click on the item "Breaks", you will see a drop-down menu in which you need to click on "Page". After that, like last time, part of the text that was below the set cursor will move to a new sheet.
