The system of the course stabilization is an ideal assistant to the driver

The system of course stabilization is a device that provides more reliable stability and controllability of the car. Thanks to this system, skids and slides can be prevented. Maneuvering becomes easier, since the position of the machine itself is stabilized. The system of exchange rate stabilization is especially advantageous for those who are used to driving at high speed.

Its name often depends on the manufacturer, each puts its abbreviated labeling, for example, ESP, VDC, ESC, DSC and so on. But the essence of this does not change. The main mechanism of the entire active safety system of the car is the control unit, which allows you to control the transverse dynamics. Thus, it turns out that with the help of a variety of sensors that are installed in certain places of the car, the direction of movement is monitored (it is controlled by the steering position and the accelerator pedal), as well as lateral accelerations and skid orientations.

The system of exchange rate stabilization works in cases when the driver can not independently manage the control. In order to remedy the situation, the ESP begins to gently tamper with, thus can be used as two wheels, and one. The system makes a choice independently, based on the degree of skidding. It is also possible to limit fuel delivery. It is these methods that are the main ones in the work of the system.

When skidding the car with the front axle, the course stabilization system brakes the inner rear wheel, resulting in excessive oversteer. In cases where the car enters and uses both axles, the ESP automatically brakes the wheels selected by it. At the same time, the pressure either increases, or decreases, or is retained. Also used and resetting the speed, which can change various factors, for example, ignition impulses or fuel injection. Thus, the ESP includes several separate systems, such as ASR and ABS.

It is worth noting that the system has not only standard ABS sensors, but additional ones, with which it can track the level of lateral acceleration and the angle of rotation, the direction of the steering wheel. At the slightest deviation of these indicators from the norm, the system of exchange rate stabilization perceives what is happening as a dangerous situation and begins its work. In most cases, it turns on when speed is exceeded, that is, acceleration starts, as well as during braking.
In each specific brand of the car the system works in different ways, as some can contain automatic transmissions, which provides for electronic control. In this case, the ESP can itself decide to switch the reduced speed. Also, its work depends on the type of drive.

In some systems, additional components are provided that are able to prevent the machine from turning over, collision with the object, the moisture accumulated on the brake discs and the pressure in the brake drive can be removed in cases where the shoes are overheated.
