The preparation "Flemoklav Solutab" - recommendations for use

The preparation "Flemoclav Solutab" is an antibiotic, which is produced in such dosage forms: in the form of tablets, powder for the preparation of children's drops for oral administration, and also for intravenous administration.

The tablets are oblong in shape, they are labeled "421" if they contain 125 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate, "422" - if 250 mg and "424" - if 500 mg, as well as the company logo.

The preparation "Flemoclav Solutab" is active not only in relation to strains sensitive to amoxicillin, but also to bacteria producing b-lactamase.

Indications for use

This drug is used in the presence of infectious and inflammatory diseases that are caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to active substances (amoxicillin supplemented and amplified with clavulanic acid) :

• In the presence of infections occurring in the ENT organs and in the upper respiratory tract, they include sinusitis, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis;
• In the presence of infectious diseases in the lower parts of the respiratory tract, with chronic bronchitis and its exacerbations, community-acquired pneumonia;
• This drug is also used in the treatment of skin infections, soft tissue infections;
• It is prescribed for infections of the kidneys, genitals and urinary tract.

Antibiotic "Flemoklav Solutab 250" - instructions for use

Children who are more than 12 years old and weighing more than 40 kilograms, as well as adults on the day, receive a drug up to 3 times 1 tab. 500/125 mg, and if severe infections, then the dose can be doubled.

If it is necessary to treat children who are from 2 to 12 years old with a body weight of 13 to 37 kg, then they need 20-30 mg per kilogram of weight per day. This corresponds to 125 / 31.25 mg of the drug, and for children from 7 to 12 years (with a body weight of 25 to 37 kilograms) - 250 / 62.5 mg. If it is necessary to treat severe infections, the above doses can be doubled, but more than 60 mg of amoxicillin and more than 15 mg of clavulanic acid per kilogram of body weight should not be allowed within 24 hours.

Duration of treatment can be different, but usually it varies within 5-14 days. If you need a longer course of therapy (more than two weeks), you should consult a doctor, since there is a high risk of side effects.

Also it should be said that if a person taking this drug has renal failure, then the drug is withdrawn from the body much more slowly. In this case, the dosage is adjusted by the attending physician.

To avoid side effects in the digestive system, the preparation "Flemoclav Solutab" should be taken immediately before breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tablets do not bite off and are swallowed whole, after which they should be washed with water. If there is no possibility to drink a tablet, then it can be dissolved in 30 ml of water, it is necessary to wait for its complete dissolution and only then to use.

Side effect

The use of the antibiotic "Flemoclav Solutab 1000", as well as other forms of this drug, can cause such side effects:

• Multiforme exudative erythema, erythematous eruptions, exfoliative dermatitis, angioedema, hives, anaphylactic shock, malignant exudative erythema ;
• Diarrhea, nausea, impaired liver function, cholestatic jaundice, abdominal pain, pseudomembranous colitis may also appear . These phenomena can occur both during treatment and immediately after its cessation;
• The appearance of thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, hemolytic anemia;
• There is also the development of superinfection, interstitial nephritis, candidiasis, vasculitis can begin.

Contraindications to the use of the preparation "Flemoklav Solutab":

• Children up to the age of two;
• With existing violations in the liver;
• Presence of infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia;
• High sensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics, clavulanic acid and amoxicillin.
