The Perron family: a true story told by one of the daughters. What really happened in the house, about which the film "The Curse" tells?

Many watched the movie "Spell". On the real events that happened in the house of the Perron family, the whole plot is built. A small town. A haunted house standing on the outskirts. There is a family in the father and head of Roger Perron, his wife Carolyn and five young daughters, Andrea, Nancy, Christine, Cindy and April. With them terrible things begin to happen. The Peregrines are desperate, but then exorcists come to their aid, and more simply, wrestlers with spirits and all evil spirits. In the American box office, there have already been similar films, for example, "Amityville Horror", also based on what really happened with another American family. Let's try to figure out if this could happen, which Andrea Perron, the eldest of daughters, wrote in her books.

Where can I find the Perronov house?

Rhode Island, founded in the distant 1636, by area occupied by land is the smallest of all the US states. He was inhabited at that turbulent time mainly by farmers. The mild climate of the Atlantic coast and the vast expanses of fertile land provided them with a decent existence. The town of Harrisville, famous for the whole world thanks to the movie "Enchantment," is located far from any large centers. Even now, he is extremely small. One circular road, several quiet streets, a small lake with three streams flowing into it and a total of fifteen hundred inhabitants. Here the Perron and bought a possession.

In a quiet whirlpool of what is just not found

According to the generally accepted version, the Perronov house was built in 1680 by a colonist named John Smith. He built it for centuries. For three hundred years the wooden structure stood, remaining in a decent condition. In the summer of 1971, he was looked after by the Perron family. In the city called this house the estate of Arnold. Why not Smith? Apparently, this Arnold was able to impress the inhabitants of Harrisville. It is believed that throughout the years since the construction of the estate owned eight generations. Whether Smith built the house in a bad place, or for some other reason, but his tenants always had trouble. Arnold himself went to the forefathers, jumping off the ledge. His wife hanged himself in a shed with her own hands. At the time, my grandmother was 93 years old. In addition to these two suicides, one person was poisoned in the house, two were drowned, four were killed, to the death freezing, and the eleven-year-old girl was raped and killed. The stories of the birth and death of all these people can be tried in Harrisville's archival documents. Of course, if there are any. Let's start with Bathsheba Sherman, whose spirit in the film is the most terrible.

A real witch

In the film, the Perron family, and in particular Carolyn, suffered from the evil spirit of Beersheba Sherman. This character is not fictional, but really existed. From numerous sources one can learn that Bathsheba became a servant of the devil, sacrificing her little son. She killed him, stuck a lot of needles in her head. It showed an autopsy, but the mother-killer was acquitted for lack of evidence. After that, Bathsheba had more children, but the life of each of them lasted only up to four years. Virsavia herself committed suicide. According to another version, she died of illness. The coroner, who made a record of death, reported that her body had become a stone. An old Harrisville resident told Perron that Bathsheba was a rude woman and often beat her servants.

Or is it not a witch?

Virsavia Thayer was born in 1812. At 32, she became the legal wife of Judson Sherman, a young farmer from a very good family. Then, to feed, it was necessary to work from dawn to dusk, which Judson did. His young wife, in the absence of her husband, took all management of the household into her own hands. It is likely that she was not at all feminine or soft-bodied. But in a different way in those times it would hardly have been possible for her to keep her house in order. Her son was really born. In March 1849 th. It was called Herbert. He was the third child in the family. Before that, Bathsheba had given birth to her daughter Julia in 1845 and Edward's son in 1847. The cause of their death is not known, just at the next census these children are not mentioned. In 1953, Bathsheba gave birth to another son. For what reason he died, is also not known. But Herbert lived a long and happy life, married, became a farmer, raised children and grandchildren. Virsavia herself died at a very old age, having outlived her dear husband for 4 years. She was buried in the central cemetery of the city. There are no official records about the petrification of her body. All these facts make one wonder how much the real history of the Perron family is. After all, the main horror of the film, which terrorized the whole family, is not so terrible.

Who was raped in Arnold's estate?

The Perron family moved into a house where many terrible deaths occurred. One of them is the rape and murder of an eleven-year-old girl. However, in an official document on the death of Prudence Arnold, it is clearly written that she was killed in the city of Uxbridge, not in Harrisville. In the name of her killer, too, there are some inconsistencies. So, Andrea Parron names the name of Bill Norton, and in the forensic sheet the initials of WEK are indicated. All the data on the deaths that occurred in the house, Andrea drew from the Harrisville Black Book, which was a public document, where all the events of the city were recorded. She obtained this amazing book from a man who called himself John Smith! It is noteworthy that, before becoming an estate of Arnold, the house was called the House of Richardsons, after the people who built it. Colonist John Smith has no data.

What was Arnold's estate, and what is it now?

Some sources report that the house that the Perron family bought was built in 1736 by some Dexter Richardson. At first it was a small wooden structure, but in subsequent years it was repeatedly rebuilt, adding rooms, strengthening, changing the appearance. It is very easy to believe in this, since many years have passed since the construction. Now the house is owned by Norma and Jerry Nelfrich. They never saw the horrors that Andrea Perron wrote about in his book, they never experienced fear. However, some paranormal phenomena in the home still occur. So, Norma said that sometimes she hears voices that are like children's. Sometimes, in the house doors are slammed, furniture is shaking. Jerry noticed the bluish fog inside the room several times.

Exorcists

In the movie "Enchantment" to help the family of the Perronov take Ed Warren and his wife Lorraine. These two characters are absolutely real. Edward was born in 1926. During the Second World War, he was a naval officer. Later he became a demonologist, published many books, gave lectures. Lorraine had extrasensory abilities, she was engaged in clairvoyance. With her husband, they investigated many cases where people encountered paranormal phenomena. They even created a museum in which objects collected, one way or another related to their investigations, were collected. The sad story of the Perron family became known to them from one acquaintance. Warren worked in their house for more than a year, and subsequently were consultants in the creation of the film.

Where does the soul of a suicide fly?

That a person has a soul, no one doubts. Where she disappears after death, as if no one knows. Some say that they fall into a parallel world, others believe in hell and paradise, and thirdly, that souls remain in our world, only on a different level, whence they visit us. Psychics believe that the souls of suicides remain in the place of committing suicide. A person leaves his own life under the weight of seemingly insoluble problems. He believes that death is a way out. But when there are moments before the transition to another world, most suicides passionately want to return everything. It is in these parts of time that the most powerful release of the energy of despair and grief takes place, which keeps the souls of the unfortunate in this world. They thousands of times survive their suicide and suffer immensely. Living people in the place of committing suicide experience an inexplicable fear, sometimes anxiety or pain, sometimes despair or sadness. It is believed that suicide souls feed on these feelings to reduce their own suffering. If one of the living comes into contact with him, the souls begin to exert influence on him. The Perron family moved to a place like this.

What do the meter do with the living?

In addition to the souls of suicides attached to the site, there may be souls of those who were brutally murdered. Psychics believe that the pain and fear that the victim experiences at the moment of dying, become for her soul as an energy cage. Some unfortunate souls who have not moved to the world of the dead, behave calmly, do not interfere with the living, but simply watch them. The majority, experiencing overwhelming suffering, begin to hate the living for being alive, for not being able to help, for ignoring their presence. Then such evil souls with the help of telekinesis or various sounds begin to attract attention. The fear of the living, arising at the sight of moving objects or from various rustles, brings joy to the dead and makes them stronger. There is an opinion that they are capable of even killing the living. From such evil souls suffered the family Perron. The real story (photos taken in the house, confirm the presence of extraneous energies), once again showed - one can not brush aside what official science can not yet prove.

So what really happened at Arnold's estate?

Summarizing, it can be argued that in the house of the Perron there really were some paranormal phenomena connected with the deaths of the previous inhabitants that occurred there. Of course, not everything that we see in the film took place in reality. So, there are no documents confirming that Virsavia Sherman was a witch. Also, there is no confirmation of some murders that allegedly happened in the house. Yes, and the house in the cinema differs from the present, in which the Porons lived. However, Ed Warren and Lorraine did work there for more than a year. It is not known whether this can be somehow connected or not, but already during the filming of the film with Carolyn, a misfortune happened - she broke her hip. And when Perron's daughters were interviewed, there was a strong wind. Perhaps they were avenged by evil souls. But this can all be a mere coincidence.
