The drug "Intal". Instructions

"Instal" instruction refers to specific agents used for bronchospastic states (stable narrowing of the bronchial lumen) and bronchial asthma. The mechanism of the drug's effect is based on the delay in the release of mediator substances found in the mast cells of the mucous respiratory tract and contributing to the formation of bronchospasm, inflammation and allergies. Presumably, the effect of the drug is associated with a partial blockade of receptors that are specific for inflammatory mediators, as well as adreno- and cholinergic mediators in lymphoid cells. The drug has a pronounced effect when applied in the form of inhalations. Admission to the development of the effect is not conducive.

"Intal". Instructions. Indications

The drug is prescribed for bronchial asthma. The medication is able to exert a preventive effect when used before the onset of an attack. Long-term use of "Intala" greatly facilitates and reduces the incidence of asthma attacks. The drug reduces the need for the use of corticosteroids and bronchodilators. "Intal" is not intended to eliminate acute attacks.

The drug is most effective in patients at a relatively young age, who have not yet developed changes in the lungs of a chronic nature. "Intal". Instructions for use

The drug is prescribed for adults (including elderly patients) and children four times a day for two inhalations. This is the initial dosage of the medication. After reaching a therapeutic outcome, patients switch to maintenance therapy - one inhalation four times a day.

In severe forms, the dosage of the drug "Intal" can be increased to two inhalations, six to eight times per day.

The rate of reduction in the dosage of corticosteroids should not be more than 10% per week. After reducing the number of these drugs, "Inttal" instruction recommends the use before the resumption of hormone therapy. With increased symptoms, stress, antigenic effects of a pronounced nature or concomitant infection, an increase in the dosage of corticosteroids may be required.

If it is necessary to cancel the "Intala", the termination of the application is carried out gradually throughout the week. In the process of reducing the dosage, the symptoms of the disease can resume.

The use of the drug "Intal" can cause a short bronchospasm. Also in some cases, a cough is noted, which is eliminated by a glass of water immediately after inhalation. With repeated bronchospasm, a bronchodilator is previously used.
