The Bocharov Ruchey complex is the official residence of the president

Bocharov Brook is a small valley in the Krasnodar Territory, in the area called New Sochi, occupied by a small river and rapidly shrinking forest park today. On the right slope is now located the medical and preventive sanatoria "Salyut" and "Uzbekistan".

History: general information

The name Bocharov Ruchey received by the name of Ivan Vasilyevich Bocharov - one of the largest landowners, who occupied in this area of Sochi about a thousand hectares of fertile land. Until the middle of the nineteenth century, people who lived here called this place Midaobza, which from the Ubykh language is translated as a "naughty river". According to the surviving archival documents, before the revolution it was a sparsely populated territory, separated from the Sochi district by the Khludov party.

Bocharov Creek Dacha

Despite the large-scale construction of the "Caucasian Riviera", which began after 1921, during the construction of the 30s of the last century, one of the most famous resort towns developed mainly towards the Khosta microdistrict. For this reason, for the construction of a dacha for the Soviet military leader Kliment Yefremovich Voroshilov, then a People's Commissar for Naval and Military Affairs, a valley was named Bocharov Ruchey (Sochi). The administration of this city decided that the country house would be built according to the project of one of the most famous architects of the time, Miron Ivanovich Merzhanov, who in the period from 1934 to 1941 was considered Stalin's personal architect. Voroshilov's dacha was finished almost at the same time with the famous medical dispensary of the Red Army, which in 1934 received the name Voroshilov.

The second stage in the history of giving

The work on the arrangement of the country house "Bocharov Ruchey" was led by the famous agronomist-decorator Venchagov Sergey Ilyich, who in 1951 received a diploma with honors at the Moscow Agricultural Academy. Later on the distribution, he was sent to Sochi, where over the next twenty years ennobled state dachas, intended for the rest of the families of party workers. In the period from 1971 to 1997, Sergei Ilyich took up the improvement of the government country house. The artist-decorator at that time worked in the municipal enterprise "Zelenstroy." It was under his leadership that a garden was created in honor of Russian-Japanese friendship, as well as a truly unique corner of wildlife called "Phyto-Fantasy". With the collapse of the Soviet Union, this picturesque place became the only official Russian government dacha located on the Black Sea coast.

The official residence of the President of the Russian Federation

As for the present time, Bocharov Ruchei is first of all famous for the fact that it is here that the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation is located. Now it is a whole holiday complex, which occupies forty hectares of land. On its territory there are many different buildings, the main one of which is the two-storeyed presidential dacha "Bocharov Ruchey". Residence (photo is presented in this article) is located next to the guest house, where, as a rule, high-ranking persons are accommodated. In addition, the complex includes a summer residence for the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Also there are two swimming pools, a helipad, a greenhouse, a garden, a garden and a modern sports complex. On the beach there is a special pier for the presidential boat. A former press center with a large conference hall was built a couple of years ago on the site of the former tennis court. Directly at the gates of the residence is the public reception room of the President.
