Tehran - the modern capital of Iran

Tehran is the capital of Iran, a country famous for its ancient history and rich cultural heritage. There are three different versions, what does its name mean. Its transformation began only in the XIII century, after the fall of the powerful Rey, then many refugees moved to Tehran. It took only 100 years to turn the city into the largest shopping center.

Tehran became the capital of Iran only in 1785. Today it is the political, administrative and cultural center of the country. The capital of Iran is famous for the Tehran conference, held in 1943 with the participation of Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill. Now this place is the embassy of the Russian Federation.

There are a lot of different delicacies, which the tourist simply has to try. A visit to the teahouse, where the hospitable host will offer a cup of tea and a hookah, will allow at least a short time to forget about the problems and worries.
