Symptoms of cervical erosion

If a gynecologist diagnoses erosion of the cervix, it means that the inner part of the epithelium, which goes deep into the cervix, is shifted outward, is exposed and represents a transformed, pathologically altered epithelium. This is a false erosion, which is most common in women, but occurs almost immediately after the first hollow contact. Unfortunately, most women know what erosion is, the symptoms of which are not always manifested, but are found when visiting a doctor completely for another reason.

Symptoms of erosion of the cervix are not visible to the naked eye - the doctor diagnoses with a mirror expander inserted into the vagina. In most cases, in addition to erosion, a whole bunch of accompanying diseases is found-genital infections, papilloma viruses. However, the main cause of erosion is a hormonal imbalance, which is especially common in young girls who have sex for the first time. Therefore, before the age of twenty-three, erosion of the uterus, whose symptoms are poorly expressed, is not recommended for treatment. You can only watch her and put preventive suppositories, sea-buckthorn lotions, and with sexual contact use a condom. In this case, erosion can proceed lethargic, and sometimes heals at all.

Symptoms of erosion of the cervix, which is called true, occur most often after the intervention of physicians with abortion, with unsuccessful childbirth (ruptures, episiotomy), gross actions with vaginal examination. An additional cause may be diseases in the cervical region - colpitis, cervicitis, papilloma virus. In cases of degeneration of erosion into cancer, all women had this virus, so it is considered the most risky factor in the presence of erosion.

Causes of erosion of the cervix can also cause abnormalities in the acid environment, which in fact are not a direct cause of erosion, but, nevertheless, lead to a shift in the epithelium.

The disease is dangerous because in the same cases, the symptoms of cervical erosion manifest themselves both openly and latently. In women who have visible symptoms, there are discharge from the vagina, burning and itching, rare tingling in the cervix. These symptoms appear due to the presence of pathological microflora, which causes these sensations. In rare cases, after sexual contact, bloody discharge may appear.

Since erosion is most often asymptomatic, women should regularly visit the gynecologist at least twice a year to detect it, in order to detect and treat the disease in time.

Usually gynecologists without errors see symptoms of cervical erosion. To them, first of all, it is necessary to attribute a change in color in the area of the cervix. On the outwardly healthy pale pink background, a bright red edging appears as large as a coin. If there is a need for additional research, the erosion of the cervix is looked upon with the help of a colposcope. This is a special device, which at the microscopic level shows the pathology of the epithelial layer. Usually, in colposcopy, the scale of erosion is clarified - this place is stained with a solution of acetic acid, which contributes to the narrowing of the vessels. Those places in which the vessels are not narrowed, and are stricken. In order to exclude oncology, a biopsy is taken from the erosion site and the presence of cancer cells is established on the basis of the analysis.

Today, more advanced methods are used to treat cervical erosion than before. Cure erosion can be laser, radio waves or cryodestruction - using these methods, tissue in the affected area is updated and erosion disappears. Of course, you can treat in the old fashion - cauterization, but this method is more traumatic, painful and not recommended for those women who are still planning to have children.
