Rosemary Cuttings

Beginners of florists, as a rule, always care about the same question: how to produce roses in the right way. At first glance this process seems frightening and very laborious. However, if you follow certain rules, then cuttings will not be particularly difficult.

This procedure is best to start in the summer. The best months are the end of June and the beginning of June. Before the onset of cold weather cuttings will have time to take root well, and this will allow them to normally winter. For cuttings, the one-year-old shoots of roses will be the most suitable, since they have already partially stiffened. Too young shoots also do not suit them.

Cuttings of roses begin to be performed by the lower cut immediately near the kidney. Its angle should correspond to forty-five degrees. The upper direct cut is preferably located above the kidney by seven millimeters. The optimal length of the handle is ten centimeters. The bottom sheet needs to be removed, and the top one should be left, since it will help to keep moisture in the cuttings and reduce evaporation. Deepening into the soil is made by the lower kidney strictly at an angle of forty-five degrees. After landing, you must immediately water and spray a rose.

Rooting of the cuttings and their successful growth in the first two weeks is best when the ambient temperature is not more than twenty five degrees and at an average humidity of eighty five percent. Young cuttings do not tolerate direct sunlight, so it is better to create a small penumbra, in order to avoid burns. Optimum humidity is maintained easily by spraying. It is desirable that the leaves are constantly moist. Watering should be moderate, as the overmoistening of the soil threatens the rotting of the cuttings. Signs of these roots appear in two weeks. During this period, spraying can be done less often. If the cuttings of roses were made in a greenhouse, then it should not be rushed to the winter with a transplant. It is most expedient to transplant the roses into pots and leave them in the same greenhouse for the winter, having insulated them with the manure.

It is possible to produce cuttings of roses in autumn. Preliminary prepared pit depth of about thirty centimeters. Then it is laid down the usual grass to the level of twenty centimeters. Peat and a layer of compost are poured on top. All this must be well watered, and in the prepared soil put cuttings of roses. On the surface you need to build a greenhouse. To do this, take the metal rods and place them in a circle. Then they throw a film on them, and press the edges tightly with bricks. It turns out a kind of tent. From above it can also be insulated. Under such conditions, the cuttings will winter well and successfully continue their development in the spring.

Any beginner gardener can make a cuttings of roses at home. It is necessary to wait for the period when the buds are fully formed and have acquired color. This is the best time for the formation of roots, which in the future will contribute to the development of a beautiful rose bush.

The choice of the mother's bush should be approached very responsibly. It must be absolutely clean, without any plaque or stains. Then you need to carefully cut the best cuttings and put in a container. The prepared land in it must contain a mixture of earth and sand. The soil must be moistened. In the sun, cuttings are not recommended. It is possible for them to build a kind of greenhouse by cutting a plastic bottle and removing the pre-stopper, since the cuttings must also breathe. As a result, the plant has its own microclimate. Spray it daily and prevent the drying of the soil. After two weeks, the rooting of the cuttings begins, and after about a month the plant is completely rooted. During this period, watering should be reduced. In early autumn, the plant needs to be moved to a room where the temperature does not drop below zero. In spring, the plant can be safely planted in the open ground.

Thus, the cuttings of roses will not cause problems even at home. And if everything is done correctly, the roses will please the gardeners with their flowering from early summer to late autumn.
