When I had the desire and the opportunity to buy a new, reliable SUV, my attention was attracted to me by the brainchild of Taganrog Automobile Plant Tagaz Tager 5 doors. As it turned out, this is just a modified SUV SsangYong Korando in a more spacious version. A fairly durable and roomy car with an original design, which has unlimited possibilities for tuning.

In this model I was attracted by an excellent combination of low price and quality, in addition, TagAZ Tagger is equipped with engines with excellent dynamics, from the famous company Mercedes. A light steering wheel, high landing, informative brakes, four-wheel drive, as well as excellent geometry in the coupe with a rigid suspension provide excellent off-road ability.

What is more important for an SUV is that Tagaz Tager has a frame structure and all kinds of locks, that is, this machine is really designed to overcome serious obstacles. One can not but gladden the coordinated work of the engine with the automatic transmission and the fact that the row-six has a chain-drive timing (for me this is a sign of reliability, albeit a little noisy).

In general, I bought my Tagaz Tager 5 doors. I enumerate that I already had on board: a Korean (under license, assembled) petrol, three-liter inline six with 220 horses, a four-stage three-mode automatic (Power + Normal + Winter). The drive is a rear constant with a connecting front and with a downshift. The unshielded rear axle, as already mentioned, with the body on the frame.

Salon pleased with leather upholstery (well, or a qualitative likeness of it) and music with MP3 from Hunday. For some time I could not find a place, but after I adjusted everything I appreciated the convenience of the driver's seat.

Not very happy was the native rubber, which is equipped with Tagaz Tager at the factory, had to go buy a new one, chose Hakkapelita SUV5. Suspension in general the very charm - moderately knocked down (not goat), the habits on the obstacles are purely "frame", the integrity of the car is felt. Although the roads we have not asphalt, I drive a rear drive. If necessary, "pick up" the all-wheel drive turns on almost instantly and helps really. Landing is pretty high - the trip helps a lot. Clearance is enough for a bold move through snowdrifts and high curbs in the city. Thanks to a powerful engine, driving in and out on the rise does not present any difficulties for me now.

But still, on the fifth thousand, Tagaz Tager and I had a little trouble. When passing the inspection, I was turned off because of the leakage of fluid from the gearbox. Then I remembered the warnings of my friends when discussing the purchase of a car - they say, a new model, Tagaz Tagger, spare parts in the afternoon with fire ... I must say, I was a little shocked. After all, when buying me, I was assured that the pre-sale preparation was made, and as it turned out, the nut connection in the liquid cooling line of the automatic box was weakened. Another surprise was the lack of a probe to check the liquid in the box. As a summary - after buying by yourself, or in a reliable service, extend all available threaded connections. We must pay tribute to our service, the guys did not pull the rubber - reacted very quickly, contacted the manufacturer, without unnecessary words, the car was taken to fix the shortcomings.

By the way, the doors also require additional adjustment, since they were closed from the second time. The instruction tells about a key fob of alarm control with a central lock, in fact - only the central lock, and the alarm goes as an additional option.

In winter, there were no major problems with the car, at a temperature of minus 29, it was started with a half-turn and really warmed up in ten minutes. Heated seats also works properly and never failed.

Well, summing up:

- as a drawback it is possible to mention a damp assembly and (as I was warned) an unreliable mechanical gearbox. The manufacturer must also pay more attention to the supply of spare parts, as the parts for TagAZ Tagger are somewhat problematic;

- to positive moments, my above-mentioned impression of the car can be attributed. It is designed for active travel, for pleasure. I recommend creative car owners with an unconventional approach, which bothered daily routine.
