With the sale of used cars, not entirely honest sellers use a number of tricks with which you can even easily crash an emergency car, very quickly, and with the greatest possible benefit. They have long been known for a lot of "advanced" car enthusiasts, and employees of repair shops. We will analyze the most widespread processes of preparation, from unscrupulous sellers of cars:
Often before the sale is poured into the engine fresh oil. And the greater the viscosity of the oil, the less metallic sounds of the engine will appear. However, with too much thick oil, the motor in the frost may not start.
If the car is diesel, for sale often poured thick fuel. The simplest way is to add motor oil to it. The engine will not smoke after this, and the old fuel pump as a rule immediately "remembers" youth and, to some extent, even adds to the car the lost power. After all, when using thick fuel, all the "leaks" in the plunger pairs will disappear for a while. If you add an imported oil, after a few hours of work, a so-called "fur coat" appears on the nozzles. Too many additives in this "import". And for example, in a cheap MC20 they are not. It is true that such oil will still have to be found.
If manipulation with oil is uncomfortable for some reason, you can buy in the car store several liters of appropriate additives for fuel. Of those that remove the noise of fuel equipment, reduce the smoke of the motor, improve the power characteristics, and much more.
You can unscrew the spark plugs and reduce the gaps in them to 0.7-0.8 mm. After this spark when the motor is running, it will be much easier to go where you need it. At the same time, losses in the ignition system are significantly reduced. The motor usually starts to work then more smoothly.
You can also treat the cover of the tumbler with water-repellent preparations. It can be both domestic "Unisma" and imported "WD-40". You can also apply these drugs to the candlesticks. After this procedure, the leakage current will decrease, and the engine will be able to earn somewhat more evenly.
It is possible to wash the motor, while paying special attention to the traces of rust and oil. And then, after drying, shake out a dusty bag over the shining engine. After that, sellers with relatively honest eyes convince the buyer that, say, the car did not specially prepare, it is all dusty, but there are no traces of oil.
The same can be done with the transmission. After all, the stains on the boxes and distributions, as a rule, are formed very slowly.
Remove the surge tank and thoroughly wash it inside. Then, when inspecting the motor, the potential buyer may not pay attention to the fact that the cooling system is rusty and dirty, which indicates overheating of the motor. And in a clean tank, with a fresh antifreeze ...
They process the drive belts with different preparations, which eliminates creaking of belts. Much nicer after this will demonstrate the engine performance.
To wash or not the whole car? The fact is that all body defects on a clean car are more noticeable. Therefore, perhaps, it is not worth washing.
You can pour into the fuel tank of fresh fuel, and still add there a bottle of solvent. Then the octane number rises somewhat and the motor can demonstrate good speed. However, the solvent can be replaced with the desired additive from the store.
A slight leak of coolant and oil can be masked (or lowered) with additives. Different kinds of antibodies for the system of cooling and lubrication in various stores are sold more than enough.
If the engine often overheats, you can put a wire under the radiator cap valve. In this case, the gases from the cooling system will be gradually, in small doses, pass into the expansion tank and it will be difficult to detect it when buying.
