Partitions "Knauf": technical characteristics, device, drawings, installation technology

An important element of any house are walls and partitions. Without them, it will not be possible to divide the structure into separate rooms. Particularly in demand today use partitions Knauf, which are a steel frame and plasterboard sheathing. Such popularity is due to the excellent quality and affordable value of the products. All its characteristics comply with European standards, and the installation is so simple that anyone can cope with it.

Advantages

Partitions "Knauf" have found their application due to their advantages:

  • Ease and speed of installation (it is collected element-by-element);
  • Simplicity of repair (the finished wall can be quickly disassembled and moved to another place);
  • Low cost;
  • Absence of "wet" processes;
  • Reliability and durability.

Popularity among consumers named partitions have acquired and thanks to other qualities:

  • The ability to use the design in regions with seismic hazard;
  • High quality of products;
  • Opportunities to facilitate the building;
  • Overall savings in construction;
  • A variety of architectural solutions (you can build curvilinear forms);
  • The possibility of obtaining a design with increased fire resistance, soundproofing, moisture resistance;
  • Ecological compatibility;
  • A variety of finishes (gypsum cardboard can be covered with paint, wallpaper, decorative plaster).

The device of partitions "Knauf"

As mentioned above, this system consists of a metal frame, gypsum board panels, internal filler (soundproof material) and fasteners. In addition, it can be completed with specialized slabs, which are distinguished by increased fire resistance. The sheathing can be one-, two- or three-layer. In this case, plasterboard, hypo-fiber or aquapanels are usually used.

As for the metal profiles, they are guides, rack and carrier. Together they form a frame, with each element having a standard length of 3 or 4 meters.

If necessary, the profiles can be lengthened by splicing them together. Their fixing is carried out by self-tapping screws: four from each edge and two in the middle. The outer side of the guide element is pasted with an insulating tape. Screws on it are placed after 300 mm (maximum step - 1000 mm). To the bearing structures of the partition are fastened with dowels.

Varieties

Depending on the purpose and device, the "Knauf" partitions are divided into the types: W111, W112, W113, W118. The W111 system is a frame lined with single-layer material on both sides. Soundproofing is placed inside it. The guides are attached to the supporting structures with dowels. After attaching the drywall, the joints between the sheets are filled with a special compound.

Partition W112 includes a frame, two layers of plating on both sides and sound insulation between them. The constructions are also fastened with dowels, however, an additional fixation of the second layer of skin is necessary. This has a positive effect on fire resistance and sound insulation.

The W113 consists of a carcass and three layers of skin (both sides). Inside is a non-combustible soundproofing. Such a wall has a serious sheathing, so the guide profile should be fastened at maximum 50 cm.

Partition W118 has the same structure as the previous design, but it is reinforced with a galvanized sheet 0.5 mm thick. It is also equipped with a reinforced frame of profile, 0.6 mm thick. The article presents the drawings of the "Knauf" partitions and how they are attached.

Types of profiles

Depending on the purpose, the profiles of Knauf are divided into rack, rails and arches. Rack constructions have a section in the form of the letter "C" and are located in the frame vertically. The racks are installed together with the guide profiles of the appropriate size. The ends of the products are equipped with two openings through which engineering communications are laid (hiding in the walls). They are attached to the guide screws, which are easily centered due to the longitudinal grooves.

Guide profiles have a section in the form of the letter "P" without bent edges - this allows you to get a close fit of the posts to the top and bottom elements. They are needed not only to mount the rack parts, but also to install jumpers between them. In the manufacture of drilling holes are drilled in which dowels are inserted during installation.

Partitions "Knauf", the technical characteristics of which are indicated in the table below, can also consist of arched profiles, which serve as the basis for curvilinear structures. They are made of different radii, and the shelves can be turned inwards or outward.

Lining Options

During the installation process, the structures can be covered with different kinds of gypsum boards. The sheathing is attached to the metal profiles and can have 1, 2 or 3 layers. This is necessary in the case when the building is subject to strain loads.

A conventional GCR is used in rooms with normal humidity and differs from other species in gray. The composition of moisture-resistant plasterboard includes protective additives that make the material "breathable". When made, it is painted green.

In the fireproof sheets add special additives that are not subject to combustion. The material is pink. Combined GKL combines the properties of fire-resistant and moisture-resistant species. It can be recognized by a green color with a red marking.

Technology installation of partitions "Knauf"

In this process, nothing is complicated, but it is important to know some rules and nuances. First you need to prepare the walls, floor and ceiling. They will need careful alignment so that the guides lie flat. The next stage is marking, the leveling of which is checked by level, cord and plumb line.

After the preparation of the base, the profiles are mounted:

  1. Install the supporting elements and attach them with dowels (step - 200-400 mm).
  2. Have vertical structures that are located at the same intervals (corresponding to half the width of the GCR).
  3. Attach them with screws.
  4. Lay horizontal rails so that they set two identical planes of the future septum.
  5. Fasten the frame with a cross and special screws.

As a result, you should get a frame with square cells 600x600 mm.

Thermal insulation and plasterboard lining

Installation of the partition "Knauf" includes the installation of a soundproof layer. The most budgetary option allows you not to use additional materials, but if necessary, you can lay inside the frame insulation on the basis of foil or mineral wool.

After installing the frame, laying the heater and utilities, you can proceed to attaching the drywall. For this purpose, special screws are used. It should be noted that the joining of the sheets can be done arbitrarily, however, the chess order is preferable. Due to this, there will be no cracks on the structure and a stronger connection will be obtained.

Partitions Knauf - designs with original elements, characterized by durability and high quality. Their use will allow to build a small building in a short time.
