Mikoflukan: instructions for use

Dosage form

The drug "Mikoflukan", the instruction for which is given below, can be produced in the form of tablets with different concentrations of the active substance or in the form of a solution for infusions. The tablets are white in color, round in shape, and slightly sloping edges.

In tablets containing 50 mg of active ingredient, depression "F" on one side and "50" on the other. In tableted form, "Mycoflucan" 150 mg of the active substance - "F150" and the line of delimitation, respectively.

The drug solution is colorless, transparent, without any particles.

Ingredients: tablets

Active substance: fluconazole - 50/150 mg (in 1 table).

Excipients:

- silicon dioxide ,

- lactose,

- Povidone,

- magnesium stearate,

- Croscarmellose,

- talcum powder,

- microcrystalline cellulose

Solution

Active ingredient: fluconazole - 2/200 mg (in 1 ml and in 1 bottle respectively).

Excipients:

- water for injections,

- sodium chloride.

Pharmacological action of the drug "Mikoflukan"

The instruction says that the drug belongs to antifungal agents from triazole derivatives. Fluconazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol as follows: it breaks the permeability of the cell wall. The drug is active against Microsporum, Candida, Trichophyton, Cryptococcus neoformans.

A feature of the pharmacological action of the drug is that it is simultaneously a selective inhibitor of cytochrome P450 in fungi, but at the same time shows no activity with respect to this enzyme system in humans.

Pharmacokinetics of the drug

The drug is perfectly absorbed after its administration, and the consumption of food together with the adoption of the drug does not affect its absorption in any way. Bioavailability of the drug is 90%. The drug is widely distributed to all organs and tissues of the body. Its plasma concentration is equal to the concentration in the following organs and tissues: the joint fluid, breast milk, saliva, vaginal secretion, sputum and perinatal fluid, and in the cerebrospinal fluid its bioavailability can be from 50 to 90%.

In addition, in certain organs and tissues the concentration of the drug may exceed the concentration in the plasma. Among them, the epidermis, dermis, stratum corneum, sweat fluid. Half-life is about 30 hours.

Indications for the use of the drug "Mikoflukan"

The instruction says that this preparation has increased activity against microorganisms of the following diseases that are prone to fungal infection:

  • Systemic candidiasis,

  • Cryptococcosis,

  • Candidiasis of mucous membranes,

  • Candidiasis of the vaginal,

  • Prevention of fungal infections,

  • Mycosis skin,

  • Onychomycosis,

  • Pityriasis lichen,

  • Paracoccidioidosis,

  • Coccidiomycosis,

  • A pistolplasmosis,

  • Sporotrichosis.

Side effects of the drug "Mikoflukan"

The responses of the test group after a series of studies of the drug, including a placebo-test and other methods of investigation, showed that the drug may have the following types of side effects:

- regarding the intestinal tract:

  • abdominal pain,

  • nausea,

  • flatulence,

  • diarrhea;

- for CNS organs:

  • Dizziness,

  • headache;

- for allergic reactions:

  • Anaphylactic reactions of the body,

  • skin rash.

Contraindications to the drug "Mikoflukan"

The instruction to the drug says that there are few contraindications to its administration, among them:

  • Age up to 1 year,

  • pregnancy,

  • Sensitivity to triazole compounds and fluconazole.

Drug Interactions

Prothrombin time increases with simultaneous application with preparations of anticoagulants of a coumarin type.

Derivatives of sulfonylureas, oral hypoglycemic agents significantly increase their half-life when contacted with fluconazole.

The half-life of fluconazole decreases when exposed to rifampicin.
